What's the shockingly gory scene in this film? Can someone post it in spoiler tags to satisfy my curiosity?

I've seen a lot of **** before but I can honestly say I've never seen anything quite like it. Depending on what makes you squeamish will determine how you react to it. It was more shocking and frightening than it was stomach turning.

Okay I googled it and was glad I did. I don't care for that Eli Roth Hostel/Green Inferno type stuff and that death in Bone Tomahawk takes the cake, even in written form.

If you've already seen the most shocking part, don't let that scare you away from the film. That may be the only real gross out part, and it's far more Searchers than Saw, with the majority of the film focusing on the search party and the people who make it up.

Well that's a lot of recommendations from those whose opinions I respect. I might just have to check it out.

You owe it to yourself man. There is also a bit of brutality in very small chunks throughout the film but in all honesty No Country for old Men made me more queasy with the oozing blood and Anton's self repair.

Watching this reignited my love for al things Kurt. Gonna get Jack Burton, the Asmus H8 figure, and PCS' MacReady figure now. Hopefully HT makes a figure of him from GOTG 2 as well.

It's only Eli-Roth-y out of context. This movie doesn't rub your face in it. The brutality is effective because it's presented wothout flinchin but never lingered on.

Heard so many good things about this movie. Going to check it out tonight :duff

Yeah, self surgery scenes can be brutal. The only time I've actually gotten light headed in a theater in recent memory was in The Shallows when
Blake Lively used her earring and necklace to sew up her mangled leg.

Then you might want to watch with a buddy, and have them bring smelling salts.

I hope folks who haven't seen this yet keep in mind it's a pretty modest movie. It's charming and brutal and funny but I'd hate to read one of the ol' "way overhyped" posts about this.
