Monday delivery here in Vegas. How ya been Furystorm? Should be a great maquette.

Scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I won't be home to sign. They will leave notes stuck to the front door on Friday and Monday and Tuesday, but I won't be there to pull them off. It will be a nice message to the neighborhood that nobody is home. I believe I have three attempts before they send it back to Sideshow, and I can't make other arrangements without the code number from the slip they will be leaving on my door while I'm out of town. If they hold it at the UPS facility, I can only pick it up during a two hour window in the evening, and the first one available will be Friday the 22nd, believe it or not. What fun.

If ever there were a time I would have liked Sideshow to ship on time or one day late or two days late, this would have been it. Three days late really messed me up. I could have had it shipped to my work address if they hadn't told me to expect processing on the 4th.

Try calling them, they can look it up by name and address and chance delivery date. I have done it before.

I got Angel last week, same price, and fedex charged me 22 more then they usually do. I got charged the brokrage or whatever fees that we usually don't when we get things shipped from sideshow.

I'm wondering whats going on as well. Last month I paid $50 in brokerage/fees/import taxes on a T1 PF, when normally I pay about $20-$25 on similar priced items. Usually I only pay taxes + $10 handling fee. If i receive Boromir and I get dinged heavily again, I'll have to start purchasing Non-Ex items from Canadian retailers.

lol I wish man, its my first LOTR Ex so really hope it looks amazing.

Got back into town tonight and grabbed the UPS notice from the front door. Just for the heck of it, I drove straight down to the UPS facility and ran through the door less than five minutes before they closed. I showed them the claim slip, and he told me that I'd have to come back Monday between 4 and 6 pm. I explained that I wouldn't be able to come back at all next week before six, nor would anybody be home to sign for it during the day. He checked his computer just to be helpful, and then laughed and told me that the driver had returned about a minute or two before I walked in. He opened the door behind him and found that out of all the trucks at the facility, the one that had just pulled up at the dock happened to have my package on it. He walked about six feet, looked at the stack, picked up my package, had me sign for it, told me that it really must have been my lucky day, and followed me to the door to lock it behind me as I walked out. So in those four minutes, I probably used up all of my good luck for the next several weeks.

Already submitted my request for a replacement--hopefully it won't take too long. I got him all set up anyway so I could get a few pictures. (The expert photographers can submit the real stuff in the next week or so.)

I think this is the best in the line so far.
