According to the most recent newsletter the Boromir Waitlist is now being contacted... I sure hope they contact me soon :monkey2

It probably depends on what licenses you have selected for your newsletter.

jedibear, you might want to check that you have Lord of the Rings selected.

Yeah, he has been listed in that section for several weeks now... with still no one hardly from this board being contacted. :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2

I'm trying hard not to freak out about this....

Well, learn somethin' new everyday...thanks folks...changed the settings. ( didn't have LOTR selected ...d'oh!)
Appreciate the heads-up on that...now where's my waitilist conversion? :lol

Thats right Jedibear! Now shut the **** up!!! :lol

Glad this could be a learning experience for you... now where's my Boromir figure!?!

I placed my order for Boromir a long time ago and I'm still a waiting. I never even got contacted for the exclusive aragorn so I'm thinking it's hopeless for me.

Well, finally gave up on Boromir and cashed in all my chips. :monkey2 Sold off my two other LOTR 12" inchers. Might regret it later, but don't want to play this waiting game anymore. (On a related note: They seem to hold their value much better than the Star Wars 12" inchers).

I was only going to get the 9 in the Fellowship anyway. But I thought that might take more years than I'm willing to wait. Hoping that a LOTR diorama series comes along and I can get the 9 that way. Good luck all!

Still waiting... I really have a hard time believing that no one is getting a conversion? Either they haven't done many yet and are waiting, or hope is lost.

I'm still optimistic, but this will teach me about not pre-ordering!!!

:lol I've been telling myself the same thing! Pre-order, pre-order, pre-order!
Can always cancel later, but if I want something...PRE-ORDER! :D

Well, I fold.

My birthday is coming up next week and my kids REALLY wanted to get me a Sideshow figure for it. They are fullly aware of my desire for Boromir (since I am currently using a picture of the figure as wallpaper) and they told my wife that they REALLY wanted to be the ones to get it for me.

How could I say no? :D

So my wife and kids quietly purchased one from Ebay at a decent price (she didn't tell me what that price was but I'm not suppose to know how much). Although they found some regular ones at cheaper prices, my 7-year old son was EMPHATIC that dad only wanted the exclusive version.... that kid is a future Sideshow collector if ever there was one. :monkey3 :monkey3 :monkey3

So I officially cancel my Waitlist request. I hope the rest of you are successful to obtaining your Boromirs.

Guess you had some discussions with him about how much better the "exclusives" are. Keep going, now, the next thing he's going to say is how he thinks "the ES is too high." :lol

Let us know when he joins the board!

The last figure I got from Sideshow my son's first reaction was... "Looks like the got a good paint job one."

I must be saying something in my sleep.... :monkey3 :monkey3 :monkey3

LOL that's just awesome! Reminds me of when I was a kid and my poor mother had to find a Ninja Turtle that I didn't already have--the woman is a saint, because she made a list of ALL MY TURTLES (100+) while I was at school, and then found two that I didn't have for my birthday!

Families are the best thing ever!!!!

Cool stories guys. :)

I bought the Boromir Ex. 12" from one of our board dealers, who helped me in acquiring one (thanks Adam).

I won the Legolas Ex. from a giveaway and I really liked it. So, I decided to go ahead and get myself Boromir.

Of course, I am looking for Aragorn now as well.

That's a great story Protozaius!
Hope it gets there in time for your kids to give it to you on your Birthday. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, and how long before your son gets HIS first Sideshow LOTR figure, eh?

It's going to be a LONG time before he gets any SS LOTR figures... they are FAR too fragile for his "rough and tumble" life style. :D

I tried to unload my 12" LOTR Toybiz figures to him but he isn't interested. He thinks the most likenesses (especially Frodo) are off too much for him to play with them. And he is 7. :lol :rotfl :lol

That's an awesome story. Moms are great. I don't think I would have done that for even my own collection.
