also is it possible to tell to the sculptor to put some extra fine detail on the hair?
to maker thinner line of hairs like wolverine hot toys if is possible?

Re: Freeeeeeeeeeedom!

hi guys this is the actual size for the tartan comparing to
mel gibson photo (here mels photo is exact 30 cm so 1/6 scale
i just need to know an exact size because until now i came accross different sizes...
i will sent a high ress file to the one who will decides to print those
i will reworked again the pattern just a rough design
so dont worry about colours etc...
jusct check the size of the pattern

ok i will do that but tommorow is the best i can do...i will put the prints next to perseus body most probably

Hey buddy, did you have a chance to do this?

Re: Freeeeeeeeeeedom!

yes i have printed one but tommrow i will have photos on the figure
i think the scale i have made is just fine...
the only problem that troubles me is the cloth printing material that you mention before
if i understand well is a fabric similar with flag
i have the same fabric material for solvent printers on my job to print for flags but is not very good

Sounds great; can' wait to see the pictures!

As I understand it, Spoonflower lets you choose the fabric; so we don't necessarily need to go for the 'flag-like' material, but can also choose something thicker, like cotton...

Re: Freeeeeeeeeeedom!

I've just found a tutorial (in French) on how to print your own fabric with a common inkjet printer.

If nobody finds another way to get the tartan, I'll try it!

you guys rock man!

with the help on the material and vold doing the amrour it really helps me concentrating on the sculpt

thanks guys

as for the shield he will have the forearm armour with arrowheads so you wont really need the shield...
i may make a base and have it casted up i will see if theres enough people who want one...

Re: Freeeeeeeeeeedom!

please make a base
how much it would be the price if you would make one?
(Painted)

Re: Freeeeeeeeeeedom!

i dont even know...

the problem is the mold making and casting

i can make a base out of balsa foam no problem but then i got to have it molded and casted...it might not even be worth it

Re: Freeeeeeeeeeedom!

So, here's roughly what the tutorial about printing cloth says.

You need 100% cotton material, bubble jet 2000, freezer paper and an inkjet printer.

You wash the fabric in tepid water. then you soak it when it's still wet in bubble jet. You let it dry and you iron it on the freezer paper. It should stick to the paper and then you can feed it into the printer like a regular paper.

They say you then have to make some trials as to what setting you got to use for the printer as it varies with the different brands, but I've seen some results and it looks really good! :D
