It's definitely getting there, no doubt about that, but right now it could use some more detail. Gibson's face is not baby smooth, especially in Braveheart. Looking forward to this one still though.

what would you suggest?

The lines on his forehead don't match Gibson's, hair line needs to be revised I think. If you could sculpt some stubble as well. Details around the eyes (crows feet, lines, nothing major, but they're on Gibson's hard living face )
It looks a little generic right now.

just sent the sculptor about the lines on the forehead

maybe some stubble added and some wear lines around eyes and mouth,,,,,

lets see what he says

hi guys this is the actual size for the tartan comparing to
mel gibson photo (here mels photo is exact 30 cm so 1/6 scale
i just need to know an exact size because until now i came accross different sizes...
i will sent a high ress file to the one who will decides to print those
i will reworked again the pattern just a rough design
so dont worry about colours etc...
jusct check the size of the pattern

Thanks man! Maybe you could try to print out some different sizes and put it next to a 1/6 body and see what size of the tartan works best in comparison with a pic of the 1/1 tartan?

I also contacted the people at Spoonflower.com an asked them if they could print on both sides of the facric, since both front and back need to show the tartan design, because we'd have to fold it. This was the response I just got:

"We print using digital ink-jet printers, an eco-friendly method which uses very small amounts of ink yielding prints that do not bleed through to the reverse side in the way that ink-heavy screen-printing does. Our cotton voile and our silk are both slightly sheer which permits some of the print to be seen on the reverse side, but even these couldn't be considered truly reversible."

This could be a a problem since this cotton voile or silk fabric are way too light and transparent for a heavy Scottish kilt...

yup but its basically going to look the same just a little more detail around those areas...

you dont have to pre order now you could wait to see the final thats fine...

i just had some people ask me where to send payment so im opening it up now

but yes ofcourse id offer the sword ..it will be about $5-$8 extra

Maybe double them up? That will add thickness and take care of the need for having the print on both sides...?
