Re: No love for Breaking Bad?

I'm trying to think if the 'Remember my name' quote from the promo posters been used in this season yet?

I'm thinking it could be one of Walt's last lines.

Remember My Name came from AMC, and only AMC. It's not a quote from the show. Gilligan confirmed this on one of the podcasts.

Cool man, just wondered why it was plastered everywhere.

Those podcasts are gold I've only just discovered them midway through S5.

Same here. They're really, really, REALLY informative.

Listen to Dexter's in comparison. Vince admits he had no idea what he was going to do at the start of each season, Scott Buck had no idea what he did for the episode he already finished...:lol

I've only watched Dexter to S3, but I'm never going back to it after I caught wind of the finale spoilers :lol

What podcasts are you guys listening to?

Is Breaking Good (official) the one to listen to?

I got my wife hooked on the series from season 2. When we found out the last season is 8 episodes, we were hoping for an even 10. Not to complain but I was hoping the series finale would be 90 min w/limited commercials.

Yep I'm being too picky. :monkey3

I hope we get closure on some side characters, like Dexter's last season.

I really wonder what happened to that guy in Walt's chemistry class, the one with the long curly hair, who asked if this would be on the midterm.

Its funny because it seems like everybody I know its beginning to start this now. A bit late but hey.

Nice little interview with Breaking Bad writer Peter Gould about the reasoning behind events in 'Granite State' and small hints about what to expect in the final.

I found this comment interesting...

The way I see it is that Heisenberg is gone. He keeps trying to kind of evoke the ghost of Heisenberg, the thrill of feeling powerful, and it’s not there. It’s gone. It died when Hank died. It’s just not there. It died when he saw baby Holly. And then in the end, what is happening in my mind, and obviously we’re leaving it up to the audience to some extent, in my mind, what’s happening is he’s becoming something new. And it’s not Walter White; It’s not Heisenberg; it’s something new. And that’s what I think Dave Porter picked up on when he had that great variation on the Breaking Bad theme at the end. Dave and I both agree he’s sort of, in this episode, he’s becoming what he’s going to become, and we’ll find out what that is in the next episode.

The last season is 16 episodes, split into two.
