I was so excited to get home and recieve my Roger Moore PF today (#98). I was devistated to see that three of his fingures were completley gone when I opened the box. I called sideshow and Amy told me that I will have a new one by next week. I am greatful for Sideshow's excellent customer service but sad that Roger is not on display.

The annoying thing is that my wife and I are not home unit 5:30 or 6pm every night. I had my brother hang out at my house all day to sign for the package. FedEx will try to deliver 3 times and then I have to drive an hour to pick my package up. I guess I will have to bribe my brother to stay at my house again next week.

Sorry to hear about Roger's fingers, GC. Maybe Jaws got to him. Richard Kiel Jaws, not the shark.
 
Sounds like you got the exclusive Man with the Golden Gun version. ;)

I hope mine fares better when it arrives.
 
I got the Man with the Golden Gun version as well, three fingers broken on the left hand. :monkey2

I was looking at how e was packaged and the stirophome(sp?) seemed way to tight next to his left hand and the end of his gun. I really hope my new statue is not messed up. Also, I fear the day the my future kids break Roger's fingers since they appear to be so delicate.
 
I think a broken Moore is going to be a common thing. Just opened mine and all 4 fingers are broken off. The left hand has no wrapping around it and in the package is just millimeters away from the unpadded base, so any jostling will knock the base against the fingers. Can't see how this one got past the drop test. Luckily there are only 400 of them out there.
 
I hope that this is not a big enough problem that he will be delayed in any way. Has there ever been a big enough problem with a peice that Sideshow had to give refunds???
 
This sounds like a serious problem. I was about to order him until I ran across this thread. Anybody else have Raj....with fingers attached?!?!? :confused: He's down to about 40 pcs left!

I believe that happened to someone with their X-Men VS. Sentinel exclusive diorama. There were a large number of returns due to problems with the electronics. I think the customer was in Europe, but I don't remember the details.
 
The treebeard bust was damaged on a huge percentage of items. It took awhile, but they replaced all of them.

I am bummed that they are refunding my peice. When the new shipment arrives it will be Christmas time and I will be spending money like crazy. I wish they would keep my money now and send me a new Roger Moore when they arrive.
 
Yikes! Not the best situation. I hope this gets replaced fast, and that you get to keep your low number.

I am still waiting for my replacement 1/4 scale Lurtz to ship. (Found a chip in the base.) I hope I don't end up getting the same e-mail about him!

My Lurtz has afew minor paint chips in the hair but theres no way Im sending it back. You cant cant notice them really anyway. But a chip in the base is too prominent to keep.
Wish I could see him again:monkey2 (boxed back up for xmas time)
 
Anyone get further information on the Moore PF? I have one preordered through Alter Ego. Doesn't look good for getting it before Christmas does it?

Are they all damaged or is it sporadic?

It was a minor break, but it was on the front side of the base, near his foot. The biggest distraction to me was the visibility of the unpainted polystone where the pine cone piece had broken off. It might not have been that big a deal, but their satisfaction guarantee makes it very easy to be sure you have a piece that is as perfect as possible.
