Broken Roger Moore

This guy is cursed - I haven't heard of anyone getting him back. My story is even more bizarre. I recently had everything changed to only ship UPS since I can't meet FedEx ground and they refuse to leave the package even when I sign the slip and tell them where to hide it. However Roger shipped FedEx ground. I actually got a call from SSC CS a few days later following up on Roger to make sure he arrived unbroken.

Except I never got him. Lucky they called or I would have still been waiting. Checked the Fedex tracking and sure enough he'd been signed for by me (name spelled wrong) and the signature was 2 lines that looked nothing like a signature, much less mine.

I called FedEx to put in a complaint and after being ridiculed and accused of lying by FedEx she said she'd follow up.

I returned the call to SSC CS who told me that they would put in the complaint to FedEx, since customer complaints to FedEx rarely got any action.

Still waiting to hear.

Previously I had a FedEx driver who would leave stuff for me, but my most recent driver has been completely by the book, so I doubt she left it and it was stolen. But I can't fathom what else might have happened.

Okay, I can understand why we're getting personal phone calls on the Roger Moore re-issue.

Got him again today - the package had obviously been resealed and there was a gap between the styrofoam parts, perhaps in an attempt to protect the hand. The hand wasn't wrapped, as it wasn't previously.

And it was a vast improvement - instead of 4 broken fingers there was only one!

So I just have to get him 3 more times to get a really good Roger!

Jeez, with all the hassle you guys are going through, I'm glad I decided to keep mine and just glue the fingers back on. What a clusterf@ck this piece turned out to be.

I will DRIVE to L.A. to pick him up in person... I want him so freaking bad. I have been starring at his empty shelf for a while now and I want Mr. Moore to be standing with his freinds Sean and Peirce... I am really sorry Dave.

I hope mine is alright when it arrives in the next week or so.

I recieved my UNbroken Roger Moore last night!!!!!!!!!!!

My FedEX guy showed up at my house around 9:40PM!!!!! (I could not believe how late he came but I was thrilled to have my Bond PF).

Roger looks beautiful. His fingers were all attached but his legs would not fit on the metal bars on his stand. After consulting with Tom I used a hair dryer and it worked perfectly.

I will do my best to get pics up within the next couple of days. I have to borrow my parents camara because I do not have one.

Finally got an unbroken Roger! Perhaps it's the relief that the frustration is over, but I really like him. He may be a bit tall, but the likeness is definitely great.

Now all we need is a Craig (although I'd buy a Dalton and a Lazenby if they were offered).

mine's arrived intact and it looks awesome.

My statue collection is now almost complete
Just got space left for a custom Gladiator and thats it.

Will need to sell pieces if I ever really want a piece again. But for now, RM completes the display I had in mind (will post pics of my display in the gallery section in the next week or so).

Well, Sideshow's crap packaging reared its ugly head again! I got Roger with a broken right leg. Good job!

Now, I can wait some more for this stupid thing. These things aren't worth the effort to get them in good condition. 2/4 of the PFs that I have now had to be returned for major damage. That's a horrific track record.

I'm done with these stupid over-large things, once I get this one straightened out.

Sorry you've had so much trouble. Of all the PFs I've gotten (20-30), only 2 have had problems - Roger and Van Helsing.

Yikes, not good. Mine finally shipped from DSC. I only have 2 PF figures so far, and I haven't had issues with either one of them.

Roger finally arrived and he's as good as I had hoped he would be. And he arrived intact, which is even better.
