i will say, since season 6 i feel like anything could happen to any of the characters now. Like with Giles. something is up with him in season 7. I dont want to give too much detail incase others havent watched it either, but something isnt right.:panic:

Just started on rewatching Angel i forgot how many funny bits are in the first couple of episodes like jumping in the wrong car ect.

As soon as I finish Buffy, Angel will be revisited. I miss that show a lot. Arguably better than Buffy in some aspects, IMO.

Each show has their strength and weakness, counter balancing each other, which makes them one fantastic show when pieced together.

Yeah it use to be great to watch a new episode of Buffy followed by a new episode of Angel.

Such awesomeness. Those were the days.

Ahhhhhhh, memories. :(

I love Buffy and I love Angel. The younger me was easily addicted to Buffy and as I got older I was able to see it for what it really is, brilliant. And I got into Angel a while after and I fell for it too. And the adult in me connects very different to it than I do Buffy. However, asking me to pick a favorite, I will always say Buffy, but then I truly want to shout out ANGEL!! right after. Both shows have given me so much and both mean a lot to me. Near impossible to choose between them.

And If you want to keep the memory of these shows alive, stick clear of the comics as imo they're truly awful...:(

Sounds like me! :lol

That's what I hear. :(

almost at the end.

Just saw "Dirty Girl". Of course Nathan makes his appearance. Why would I think otherwise?:lol

freakin awesome!!!!

Im loving Season 7!!!!!

Even if the comics aren't good, im going to read them. Or atleast see if I can enjoy them enough to continue through them. I just have to. I know once Season 7 is over Ill need more Buffy.

I plan to watch Angel, but ill probably take a TV Buffy break to catch up on some other shows I have been neglecting :)

Nice!! :rock

Angel won't disappoint. Like I was saying before, I'll even go so far as to say that it was the 'stronger' of the two in terms of consistency per season. I give the overall crown to Buffy, but Angel was no slouch of series.

I'll be starting Angel when I finish Buffy here soon. About half way through S7.

If you read the comics be prepared to see something that towards the end that bares nothing like the show at all, but just comes across as crazy mad crackfic, more at home with Lost in Space then anything you would have seen in the TV series.

Don't say you weren't warned. :lol

I'd watch Angel next instead. It's a great little series. :D

Yeah, the payoff on season 8 was a little lacking. But I would still recommend at least reading the first TPB (there were 8 in all, collecting issues in sets of 5 along "episode" arcs), especially if you are enjoying season 7. The first one was scripted by Joss who I believe plotted the season, so you'll get an idea pretty soon if it's for you. The middle (Jane Espensen) to later ones (Whedon) is where I think the season really failed to gel. The finale seemed forced, like, oh, it's time to wrap this up! And yes, Jeanty draws the characters with huge heads on tiny child-like bodies. But Jo Chen's covers were all pretty nice.

I'm smack dab in the middle of my own tv marathon. Just finished Beer Bad and Rm w/ a Vu. Even a weak episode like Beer Bad was better than most of the competition. Rm w/ a Vu is one of my favorites. I do my marathon annually, spreading it out between seasons of current active shows I like.

I love the episodes that are based around the supporting cast the Xander episode where he has his crazy night is brilliant. Any episode where Giles and Ethan interact is normaly great especialy where Giles is turned into a demon. I can not say a specific episode because they all have there own merits but i do love the episode where Anya first appears and we get Vampire Willow.

While rewatching season one of Angel i made a discovery, i never realised that Hawkeye was in Angel. Jeremy Renner was Angels protege in one of the episodes in the first season.

If you have to read comics, I'd recommend Angel: After The Fall. Not without its problems, but better than any Buffy continuation.

Oh lord yes. Out of all of them I think ATF came nearest to capturing the feel of the show

In all fairness all of IDWs licensed comics are pretty good there new X-Files one isn't bad at all.I do have to aggree that ATF probably was the best of the comics.

Faith just reappeared in Angel,Faith dancing to Rob Zombie thats like 2 of my favourite things in one.

Angel and Faith has been pretty good (if still inferior in terms of writing compared to the TV series) but for all it's faults It's still light years ahead of the Buffy comics which suffer from poor art as well as poor writing.

I mean did anyone see Jeanty's version of Faith and Spike? Dear god it was fughly! :lol
