Buffy PF Alternate Version!

WOW. I LOVE the new version. Definitely a must buy for me. The only thing I dont like is the shirt and how its so tucked it. But I can deal with that. The other shirt posted by BillyBudd would be far better fitting, but I suppose they just re-used the other dress and made it just a shirt.

Boy this new Buffy PF sure is tempting... and I really think that this new Buffy would look better displayed with the PF Spike that the first one.

Yep, Gotta say it, this version is better than the first..I know there are people out there who think different, but I love this one...to me, it's more "Buffy..", with the first PF, she really only looked liked that in the 1st season..Not that there's anything wrong with that....I just think that this sculpt is more closer to what Buffy looked liked during the majority of the show..

i hope they give priority to those that ordered the original Buffy PF, just like the SW Maul PF priority ordering.

IMHO the hair is the only improvement in the whole look (except for the color which looks a bit too yellow-y to me). The outfit is ridiculous looking. Like some cheap Barbie-Ken doll level.
Same top as before, (did they just take the old dress and chop the bottom off? Apparently.) Same boots too it seems.
If you wanted you could just take the dress off of the original Buffy and put it on this and it would look much better I think.
At least the original figure is a reproduction of something (the promo shots)
This is like a Frankenstein's monster version.
Old pose and 1/2 an outfit from before with baggy red pants and S7 hair...
They couldn't avtually make a proper outfit that was official? How cheap are they?
To me this just reeks of opportunism and now our initial investments might be worth less. Within a year too. Unbelieveable. This is like MR...


oh well. Too bad we can't just pop the hair off the old and swap it out.

And my Buff did not have a real lazy eye, but in pix it can look that way for some reason but when you see it in 3-d it just looks like she's staring off into the distance. So anyways, I bet that many will still get a lazy eye buff potentially as they are using the "look off into the distance" look and that's hard for a painter to capture.

oh well, just my 2 cents.

i hear you Dave. When I first received the Buffy PF, I immediately started looking into having someone to custom fit variety of clothing. The hair is nice though.

She ships the 2nd quarter. Pretty soon isn't it. It just shows how little work they have to, or intend to do on the piece.

Yeah I definitely hear you and totally get the frustration with all this.
Still since I didnt buy the original, and I find this one more appealing personally, Im grateful. But only for that reason. I'd be mighty pissed if I'd bought the original, and liked this version.

For me it's more the fact that I won't have the "complete" collection what pisses me off. I don't find particularly tempting the rehashed statue, and having the first one I won't buy the second. But I will still have the feeling that I missed something, that my collection is not complete.

Oh boy, I spent so much time defending the first PF Buffy in front of my friends and family! It just feels so worthless!

True but it might have looked strange seeing the rest is totally S1, and clearly so.

I don't want to sound too whiny. I actually really love my PF Buff and everyone who has seen her all goes "ooooh!"
But yes, the hairstyle on the revision is more appealing and makes her look more like SMG. Would I drop another $225-$250...? no.
MAYBE if they had a different pose and better clothes.

I think you would have seen where the head joins then since she's wearing a low cut type of top though. They could have easily had 2 hairpieces though.

Two hair pieces would have been very gimmicky and looked detached, besides the only reason to do an alternate hairpiece is if the other one isn't sufficient...which SS wouldn't admit obviously.

The pants look like they are leather/pvc in the actual picture of her.
