I was just wondering, on the bando, these are quite a bit longer than what would be needed for a standard 12" figure, right?

Also, does anyone have any good ideas for a Bowcaster? The ones I have are from the Hairy Chewie, and are ugly.... Did any other versions come out that might be better?

hey flosi. I used the kotobukyia Chewbacca bowcaster and his bando on mine. and brinn made me a pouch a few years ago

they are longer but will fit the longer body of a wookie and should lie just around the middle of the thigh

The Hero Factory Hulk was what I started with, but I ended up having to buy a second set of some other random Hero Factory thing.

Those chewie have a pretty high price . Still amazing work buddy!

Wow, where? Cause ebay is pretty expensive. Off course i'm from holland so at least 30usd is added for shipping. There was a time i saw him for about 15usd here, but i thought i'd never need it. Lol

You really don't need the hasbro figure.

For a cheaper alternative. Try finding a plush/stuffed animal with similar style of fur and take it apart. There are also a variety of "colored fun furs"out there. It's all the same material used on the hasbro figure.

Thought about doing this myself, thought it could really help the fur color transition.

If you guys want to get really advanced with these customs, here's a link to the RPF. It explains how to make fur for stop motion puppets. Instead of working with the usual bulky "fun fur" backing. Applying a layer of latex rubber as a backing. It helps cut down on the bulky look.

Phil Tippet used the technique on the ESB Taun Taun puppets.

So should I buy that crappy chewie or fluffy chewie for the bow caster? dude I know recasting is terrible but someone could totally make some bowcasters that would be awesome so we are not hunting for a good one.
