I guess you don't get banned or get a warning for hypothetically(if) destroying the world or decide which part to keep.

No, if you actually destroy the world I hear the mods hold a meeting to see if you get a warning or not, though. Had my finger on the button a couple times...but not sure I wanna risk my membership.

Might try my luck with a useless plot of land that no one really cares about, first. Then, after Africa, if I still have my membership I might keep going...

China and Russia should gang up on the rest of the world I tell ya. Nuke em all. Hehe cough cough! Or at least kidnap all the blond women first.

Anyway...I wonder how much a bronzed Hulk goes for. The same equivalient of this Capt America. Not the one where Hulk have both of his arm raised up(about to smash of course). I am talking about the ugly retro, barely detailed Bowen bronzed one.

I remember a few years ago when the Bronze pieces were getting around 12K each. IM sure he wants at least 9K for it

9K for the bronze Hulk? Or Capt America? My LCS has a bronzed Hulk and he wants 12k. Comes with a Banner prototype as well..LOL. Expensive paperwieght and beyond me of course but I do wonder on the price. I am sure these pieces won't crack and last forever.

Well Mr. Green, you won't have to waist your time visiting my new thread I will post in 1 to 2 weeks time on the Cap America I just bought and arrived just yesterday ... with the alter ego bust.

It will almost complete my collection of "paperweights" that many other collectors consider true pieces of art.

Congrats. I'll try to resist...don't want to ruin your time/feeling/taste. The price is way off but its just my opinion. I always prefer details/realism over minimalism/abstract. Again, just my opinion.

BTW, how much did you pay for it? I promise I won't redicule.

Thanks, and not to worry, my time/feeling/taste is intact, :lol

These bronzes are not for everyone ... they capture a different era in sculpture, and for me, it also captures Randy Bowen at a time when he arguably put statue making on the map in collectables. He also caught the essence of the original comic characters in these sculpts. These two reasons were major factors in my pursuit to purchase them at a reasonable price. As for details, the Spidey is the most detailed of the three and is truly remarkable in this medium. The one with the most presence is the Hulk, espescially with the coloring ... and yes, to really draw the art in these out, they need a great deal of light to be displayed properly.

Price? It was not even near what these have sold for in the past, and let's not even go to the crazy price on ebay. Like the Hulk and Spidey, it was purchased on a private deal.

I will give more details when I post pics.

Hey Ski, had to edit my images because there were to many, but I had the laughing ones here in having a good chuckle with you.

Hey Quad: I know it seems like a lot, but if you keep in mind the price I got these three in total, versus the money spent in collections like yours, or mine, or other avid members in this forum, I willing to bet that we have each spent way more in the last three years than on these. Which brings up the point, with these bronzes, many of my other pieces now go. For me, they just capture a special part of the comic era, and Randy Bowen mark into making statue collecting what it is today.

No, this is not the one on ebay for the outrageous amount. That one was still on ebay when I received mine. Did I try to negotiate the person down to $50000? Yes, but to no avail. Then I found this one. Will provide more details when I get the pics up in a week or so in this forum.

Thanks for the "fix" from "paperweights" to "masterpieces", I had a great chuckle!

I agree with those statements above.

Congrats Batman29 on getting your grail.

You do make a lot of people jealous (as seen on this thread).

I really wish I could see all of those magnificent pieces in person.

These are true grails for many true collectors out there, and only a few exceptional handful can afford and acquired these pieces.

Again, congratulations.

mt24, thanks for your comments and support.

As you probably know, acquiring these type of pieces means that many others must go, not all, but many.

I will post pics soon.
