Enjoying everyone's pics. #83 exclusive arrived while i was on vacation. I'll be cracking them open soon!

Not sweating the small stuff here. Love mine and most wouldn't be able to spot something like that. Overall I think SS did a pretty good job.

Agreed. I simply posted it to show Jaws. I still love mine regardless of these details and what it's made of.

True... I just happened to stumble on it when I was comparing the PF to the real thing..

It is not a big deal at all.

It's actually not a flub, either. There were different versions. ILM made the shoulder greeblies both ways on some the actual R2s (especially for ANH) before they finally put a standard in place, which is the long rods both sit on the front side of the shoulder.

Sure, many of the R2 shots in ANH feature the reversed shoulder greeblies. But there was actually no standard until the one we see now. So, Sideshow actually got this right.

As I begin to repackage my droids back in their box and shipper I'd just like to do a Jerry Springer-like 'Final Thought'.

Firstly, I'm gutted having to put these back in the box, as I've done with most of my collection...but with the search for a new and bigger family home hopefully coming to an end, i can finally get to display all my fantastic pieces just the way I want to!

So looking back when I first got these my initial thoughts were that Threepio was great, was really happy with how the shiny chrome came out and pleasantly surprised over his smooth articulation and had a good weighty feel to him. I remember being less impressed with R2...purely down to how light he was inhand and also how plasticky he felt also. However, once I got to turn on his light up features all the before mentioned negative emotions were no longer an issue. The light up feature on R2 simply rocks! :rock They couldn't have done it better IMO and just completes R2 from an aesthetic point of view. Yes, if i was to nitpick then a cool soundboard in both droids would have had me DROIDS heaven!!!! :lol

I am extremely delighted to have these droids in my collection, they will go great with my 2 Stormtrooper PF's and all that's left for me would be a new Vader PF to complete my SW set up. Really happy for those who ordered the Regular version also, it's equally great looking and possibly better if you take into consideration the fact that every owner of these droids will most likely have them posed side-by-side and with threepios hand on R2's head...an iconic pose that can only be pulled off properly on the regular version due to the larger base...it can be done on the EX as you can see from my final pic but only if R2 is placed slightly onto threepios base - but close up it just doesnt look right.

Congrats to all those who have them, they are a definate must have for any SW fan or movie buff (of which I am both) so when it comes down to it, yes I think I paid too much for the droids but I certainly don't regret it! :)

Guys, just did a really quick YT vid of the two droids before I packaged them away. Really sorry for the quality, especially as I filmed them in portrait as opposed to landscape! Doh!

Anyway, enjoy guys....:)

Thanks a lot.. looking nice.. still not like the look of R2 somehow.. 3Po looks great

My waitlist converted this afternoon. Not sure what time I got on since I don't have the original order email and it doesn't show the time on the order page with the new layout.

Nice vids Roberto! I am still waiting for someone to do a video review of the EX with close ups and everything.

Looks good Robert. :hi5:

Thanks guys, sorry i could'nt do a more indepth video review :( I was literally lucky to get those free minutes whilst trying to juggle a newborn and a two year old at the same time! :medic

Congrats again to all those who have the droids in their collection or those who are waiting for theirs to arrive. A must have for any Star Wars fan or just those collecting iconic movie characters. :wave

Make sure and look it over.
You don't want someone's return. But congrats on a great piece.
