BO2 is badass! First impressions I played a quick round of zombies and I noticed how smooth the gun firing is! The online multiplayer is just as smooth! Treyarch knocked it out the park IMO! Lvl 10 right now! Badass game! Badass! Btw I'm a fan of BO1, but I'm also a fan of MW3 and every other COD game!

Oh I forgot to mention BO2 exceeded my expectations on initial impression. Probably because I didn't expect much except more of the same. So if anything my expectation for this game was low to no expectation. Looking forward to checking out the campaign tomorrow!

Yeah, I have to say it does feel like a big improvement over BO1. I haven't played enough to say for sure how the hit detection is, but at least it looks like the lag will be less of an issue. The new guns and gadgets are pretty cool and it's actually a real challenge to get the killstreaks going, so I'm liking what I've seen so far. Some scrub campers as usual, but otherwise people are moving around mixing it up.

Other than the map called Yemun...I think that's the name, I liked all of them just fine. Yemun is a clunky map with lots of nooks and crannies. Reminds me a little of Favela from MW2. Hijacked is Nuketown on a boat, but that can be fun...other than the constantly flipping spawns. Need to wait and see how the game is when everyone's learned all the cheese camp spots and have all the gear unlocked. If it's still fun after that, it's a keeper.

Nice. My standards are Black Ops 1. That game wasn't perfect, but it was great and you could tell that effort was put into it.

Just read a Washington Post review that called this the "first must-buy Call of Duty in five years".

Apparently there are some alternative endings/events in the campaign governed by player decisions made in-game ... including weapons selection at the outset of the mission, etc. They compared it to Mass Effect in that regard.

But arh, still fun even though Im getting my ass kicked.

I've been playing on Xbox & I've hardly seen anyone get a major perk. I'm really enjoying this game though. I like the fact that its hard to get Perks this time round so it feels much more rewarding when you do. Or if one team is completely dominating it doesn't get ruined by a fire storm of Perks & the opposition pulling out. I've only played multiplayer so far no Zombies or single play from me yet.
Oh & I love 3 x 3 teams on multiplayer, looking forward to playing that one with my mates

Exactly, its so hard to get a major kill/score streak but that game I was in had like 2 sealth helicopter continuously even after I shot them down with my launcher. Definitely hackers though.

But they have certainly balanced it a bit more than in the past....I do miss MW3 support streaks though, stacking it while playing the objectives was my fav thing to do. (just not so good at killing ppl)

The last MW game left such a crappy impression on me, I'm going to wait for this one even though I loved the first BO. I know everybody is all about multiplayer, but has anyone played the story mode at all? I loved BO's campaign--I wonder if I can expect more of the same...

The campaign reviews I've seen have been very strong. Several even talk about replay value, which has been absent in the campaigns for a long while.

i like what they did with the perks but now the problem is the killstreaks. Too overpowered imo. the turrents and microwave emitters cant be knifed, they need to be shot or emp'd. turrets are almost ridiculously overpowered when place in the right spot.

dying from exploding bombs and airplane bull**** all the time gets annoying quick. ive never been a fan of the killstreaks but seems they made the ones in BO2 much more powerful and accessible.
