The problem is that the maps are much, much smaller in BO. In general, it does respawn you next to teammates. However, maps like Nuke Town are so small, there is hardly anywhere to respawn someone without being "right in front of or behind someone"

True..but it might help a little bit. At least it would give you the chance to take a 360 degree view of the options before you spawn. And I would also include 30 seconds to spawn..that way you can tell your teammates that you're spawning soon so they can get into a safe location.

I think they should make the spawn system like BFBC2...you get to choose to spawn on your teammates or the spawn point picked by the system. I think it would make the game much more strategic and far less random.

That would be great, but the maps in Black Ops are way too small for something like that. Call of Duty games have always had condensed maps designed for small fast-paced skirmishes.

Finished campaign. Liked the story a lot though it seemed rather short. I was only playing for a couple hours and here and there and before I knew it, it was over.

May try some MP this week. :)

Wouldn't be a bad thing. They seem to have the MP down from what I've read about the Dead Space 2 online.

One thing that kind of annoyed me about the campaign is that they killed off just about everyone. Weaver and Mason are the only two that survived right? Didn't seem necessary to kill Woods off IMO, even though it was a good scene.

Yeah, they should have kept Woods and Bowman around but I guess they were killed for emotional impact. Still liked Soap & co. more but these guys were all right. Woods was my favorite character, Mason seemed a little...flat. Nothing beats Noble team IMO characterwise.

I read somewhere that when you break free from the chair in the main menu, on the old PC or something you can read a message from an informant calling themselves 'X', saying that Woods is still alive and being held in a POW camp. I haven't seen it yet so can't confirm. But since you don't actually see him die, it's not all that far fetched that he may still be alive and that possibly during the next game you rescue him or something. Sorta like how you think Price died in MW and was rescued in MW2. Like I said, I haven't seen it my self so I may be wrong.

I agree but it has to be better than the current spawn system. Plus, other than Nuketown, the maps are pretty good in size....I think my idea would work on most of them.

Nope. Played it for 10 minutes online and don't get what the fuss is about. I played MW2 for a bit but didn't really get what the fuss was about there either. I really bought this for the campaign but that was a simple bore with Baysplosions all over the place. I hate how there arent many objectives and if there are they say ' plant c4 ' in a red text on the wall . That is so gash. Call of duty 1 and 2 are the only decent games in the series IMO.

Ten whole minutes, huh? So basically, you weren't able to do any kind of customization or play through all of the maps?

To fully experience a game I would think you would have to play the single player campaign and then go into MP for a bit. If I played the MP after 10 minutes or so I'd hate it too. There is a bit of a grind in the beginning as a n00b. It's a bit (just a bit) repetitive but I wouldn't call the game crappy. And that is my MaulFan post of the day!

Honestly why even respond to this idiot when we have this awesome game to occupy our time instead.

I don't think it's boring.
I actually find it amusing how I kill somebody and then die, spawn, kill somebody and then die, spawn, kill somebody and then die, spawn, kill somebody and then die, spawn, kill somebody and then die, spawn, kill somebody and then die, spawn, kill somebody and then die, spawn, kill somebody and then die, spawn, kill somebody and then die, spawn, kill somebody and then die. etc

sweet! :hi5:

Did you say I kill somebody and then die, spawn? :lol

I'm not into multiplayer. I want to sit down and play a solid single player with a good story. If I want to socialise or do things with other people I will go outside and see friends etc.
