I just finished this little project , here is how it was made.

The candle stick holder is just a knob from a cabinet or drawer that I got from Ace Hardware. The candle is a wooden dowel with the bottom shaved down to fit in the hole where the screw for the knob would go. The wax drippings were made with Friendly Plastic which melts in boiling water. The wick is just a thin piece of wire.

A little black and white paint and it was done.

I just need a little help though... Can anyone tell me how I can make a translucent orange flame to attach to the wick. What material could I use to make the flame?

Any help would be really appreciated.

This is outside the box, but how about a flake of orange hard candy such as a Jolly Rancher? if you took a candy and hit it with a hammer you probably get a good selection of shapes.

It is a good suggestion but I was thinking more along the lines of a plastic that has a low melting temp. If anyone here knows of such a product. It sure would help.
