Haven't bought anything yet. I'm gonna look at both & see if it warrants that extra $900 or not.

It's doesn't IMHO. This is a very overrated piece IMHO. But, it's your money. Buy whatever you will enjoy most in your collection. If I were you, I would just wait to see what the next Doom SSC will release looks like before jumping on the PF. You may like it more and be able to buy it at retail. It won't hurt to wait. The PF looks to have peaked in price. You can always pick it up for what you will be willing to pay for it now.

If you consider the PF a grail piece you must own, then pick up the EX. You won't have any regrets if you do. You may have regrets if you decide to pick up the Reg of a piece you value so highly. I know I would. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Why can't Sideshow paint eyes on their 1/4 figures as well or realistically as HT and others do in 1/6?

No, my wait list for Iron Man never converted. So I am hoping that we will get a 1:4 scale Avengers version. I like the circle better than the triangle, anyway.

Hell yes, they do! They can't possibly ever get enough of ol' iron-melon. I love the 1/4 scale maquette, but I wouldn't hate to have another version too.
