I'm actually having my shield repainted again but this time with less battle damage...it will be much cleaner than before but with subtle weathering as opposed to battle damage to correspond better with the PF itself...here are some pics of another shield which has been done for a fellow collector

This statue is seriously the coolest comic based Cap collectible I've ever owned, and that includes the original PF (which was and is still great.) Every time I walk into the room where he's displayed I just stop and take notice. It's *awesome* to behold in person. And I LOVE that we finally have a 1/4 Cap posed in such a way that you get to see his full uniform and shield at the same time. I thought that the rifle might take away from his signature shield but no, when I look at him my eye instantly goes to his shield and then the rest of him. An absolute grail.

I'd pay for the commission if it became available but honestly after having the round shield on display for the last week or whatever it's hard for me to imagine putting THAT ONE back in the box. It's iconic, it's perfect, and would be his default accessory 99% of the time even if I did get the other one repainted (or should I say PAINTED.)

Okay, recieved my replacement Thompson today and now I know what you guys were talking about. At first I was unsure as I didn't want Cap with a gun but then I put the EX on and man he just came alive, like he is literally running. The other hands came across as it he was about to charge.

But wow, another piece to this amazing puzzle in place. Now if only I knew someone with enough talent to fix that damn shield
