Comicbook nerds are the reason we're having these movies in the 1st place, we have all the right to ***** and moan :lol

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Nah. They aren't made for you. And they never will be.

And no, you're not correct. The reason we have these movies is, Hollywood ran out of ideas and needed to cash in on an old outdated idea. (COMIC BOOK MOVIES).

Actually, he's right. It had to start somewhere, Mr. Celtic, and if all of the comic book fans, over all these years, hadn't supported these characters, they wouldn't even exist. They barely hung on through the 1950's. Why? Comic book fans. Whether you want to admit it or not, the people who've bought these books over all these years are the reasons for these films.

Yes they are, you can keep playing ostrich though, denial is a powerful sedative.

The reason why they're bringing these movies is because how successful the comicbooks were, and that is a fact.

Bitter old Celtic.

Only thing the nerds are good for is spreading the buzz the movie has to relate to everyone not just just comic fans.

Yeah I know, but the reason why these comic book movies are made is cause those nerds bought the comics in the 1st place.

Also, I love it when nerds call each other "nerds" in a pejorative way :lol

Because it's only a comic book movie.

For every comic book fan, there's 1000 non comic book fans. They aren't as common as you think.

I complained about the same thing the last time! :lol I don't get why these Marvel films hit England before America. American actors (some of them), American characters, American movie studios, etc. WTF?

I'd like them to release the next Bond in the USA before the UK and see how they like it then! :pfft:

You're missing my point, sir. I'm saying that there would be no reason for these films to exist without comic book fans. If these books didn't sell, these characters would have faded into obscurity, thus having no cultural relevance; thus there being no commercial reason for films to be made.

They'll probably have the premiere in Moscow. :lol

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

They are calling this character "Captain Democracy" in the rest of the western world, so as not to offend European audiences.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Ok fine, show it to the Native American Tribes first then send it to Europe, you happy now. :lol

No, I was referring to the Captain Democracy thing. I get that we aren't the most popular folks to the rest of the planet, but to the extent that they'd change the name of a character to prevent offense; where's he from? Democratia?:lol
