Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Just returned from another viewing.

:monkey2

If ever there was a movie I wanted to see over and over on the big screen this is it, but it won't be until Wednesday that I'll finally get to catch it a second time (though it'll be IMAX 3D which I'm really looking forward to.)

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Just saw it today and I don't remember seeing the paint around winter soldiers eyes, was it just in the posters?

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

This movie has more depth, but Avengers is still more entertaining to me by FAR.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

A lot of Bat and X-fans giving props to Cap. I hope you guys get your due with an awesome DOFP and BvS. :duff

Thanks :duff
I really don’t think there will be a a bad superhero movie this summer. They all look great to me, Spiderman has me a bit worried though. While it’s getting positive scores on RT, the reviews themselves to seem all that positive.

He just wore it at the start for some reason. Glad it got ditched early.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I thought the warpaint was pretty bad ayus.

The shot of the black eye pain was very cool. He looked like a really tragic character; his eyes suggesting that Bucky is still in there somewhere. He looked really sad and desperate, almost like he regretted having to be the villain.

CGI'ed out during post-production, originally there was more of it.
Too bad, I say. It was a clever homage to his CB appearance.

probably figured one raccoon for the MCU was enough.

I kind of wonder if they tried using his mask at all; if it was an option. It's kind of curious that every other facet of his character is pretty much a perfect transition from page to screen, yet they couldn't give him his domino mask. As far as how it's look, I'd probably compare it most to The Comedian's, and I thought that turned out pretty good.

I think it's because domino masks are pointless irl. Which is why Nolan made cat woman's domino mask an extension of night goggles or whatever.

I think Arrow going manscara -> domino mask has been the Flash's biggest contribution to the DC TV verse so far. Arrows looks great imo. I just figured he (WS) didn't have one because he had the goggles at times. I'd guess it could be a change up for him in the future.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Never underestimate the draw of a kid's movie, especially a sequel. :lol

My kids hate the first Rio, so luckily this won't be on my plate. Full steam ahead to Spidey next.
