Hi guys I received this yesterday I had heard some complains about the metallic look but I liked it. I bought the Bucky statue and I really liked the look of the metallic paint. Well I have been on a Captain America kick lately and I was trying to round out my collection of Cap stuff, until the coming suit change arg. I opened the box and could immediately see differences in the two. The paint work is not as sharp and the detail was not as sharp. Also the metallic paint they used is different it is flatter. I could blame it on being used to be getting Sideshow stuff lately but I did compare it to the other metallic Cap statue I have. Here are some pics and a video review and tell me what you think.

It's a review on a new statue I bought should I put a sheet up. The thread is mostly to give info and to link them to the video review so they can get a closeup and review. Don't hate you look jealous!

No offense, but there is the show your shelves section where you can constantly update you collection pics for people to see as it grows and there wouldn't be a problem with posting links to your youtube reviews as you add new items. We also have a "What's Your Latest Purchase" thread in the General Collectibles section where you can post pics of all of your new acquisitions and links to your youtube video as well. These options would be more beneficial to you as you can post all of your new items in one place and will not have to make a new thread for every new item you buy.

Nice review no matter where its posted.:clap Post them whereever the heck you want and if folks dont like it then oh well. :pfft::rotfl

Do you guys really have nothing better to do than to police this guy's threads and rain all over his parade?
Those are great pics. Let him have his fun.

Great stuff, BatM!

Under another username he would post new threads for every piece he acquired, and he bought a lot. Members started to get annoyed with him when existing threads could be used to post his new items.

I'm just trying to help him out by pointing out some alternative options he might want to take to not fall into the same amount of bashing he received under his old name. I can tell you a lot of members here aren't nearly as nice and respectful as I try to be to everybody including batmobile.

To you batmobile, you have a great collection and I'm glad you've chosen to take part in this hobby. It can be really fun to collect cool items from various properties that you enjoy. I look forward to watching as your collection grows. Good luck and have fun here.

I wholeheartedly agree...if you are "forced" to change your user name because of disagreements with other forum members then starting new threads when there are applicable existing threads does nothing but fuel the drama. Additionally, it makes the guy look like a show-off.

At the end of the day the guy can post where he wants...I get that. But IMHO the best of both worlds would be to post in existing threads if applicable and not give anyone an opportunity to jump start the drama.

very nice, but more importantly, bottom right shelf, right next to the batpod, '89 Batmobile?? is that 1/6 scale? where can you get one?

You see why I stopped posting for a while and tried to come back under another name so maybe it would stop but it has not. But at least this time I see in 3 threads people are telling them off and to give me a break so at least it feels like others think it is inappropriate also. So thanks people

LOL I knew that house and setup looked familiar. It still looks real nice. But I am sure when a few other guys see this thread they will start stuff up again. My favorite threads are in the "show your shelves" area and I check that everyday. I know if you made one in that area LOTS of people would still see your cool stuff and you would get some nice compliments.

PS thanks for showing us your stuff.

I'm just trying to help you out so you have a better time on this forum this time around. It got way out of hand with people freaking out on you for posting new threads last time and I noticed the pattern starting up again. It will just give people more of an excuse to cause drama and hard feeling on the forum which is something I never like seeing.

This is just my friendly advice and you are free to take it or leave it.

dont like that cap america at all.Very Weak face sculpt.

Seems to me he didnt do anything wrong with the exception of pissing off some rude forum members on this site. :cuckoo:

There are alternate places to post new purchases than starting a new thread such as starting up a personal "Show Your Shelves" thread in the appropriate section or posting in the "What's Your Latest Purchase" thread in the General Collectibles section. People here, whether they were right or wrong, started stuff with batmobile for making new threads for each purchase rather than just posting in one of those sections. I doesn't bother me, but the drama does inevitably start when he posts these new threads. It was bad before and I can see it happening again already.

I'm not a moderator and I'm not trying to put the guy on the spot. He's got a great collection and it's grown even more since he first left.

To batmobile, I don't want to hijack your thread with stuff that has nothing to do with the Captain America statue anymore, so I will not be posting in this thread any longer. Sorry for taking it off topic and congrats on your new purchase.:hi5:

Why are these people freaking out? Are these threads costing them money or something? Are they being forced at gunpoint to view Bat's pictures? Clearly, these peeps have far too much spare time on their hands if they can waste so much of it chasing down people who, goodness forbid, launch threads with pics of newly released statues.

Batmobile, nice pics and cool collection you got going there. I had both the bowen classic and metallic Cap. Traded the metallic Cap for a modern Nova and just kept the classic. Having had the metallic in hand for awhile, I can say it is a truly nice piece. Congrats on your pick up!

It's absolutely irrelevant why people are freaking out...for better or worst there appears to be some drama between the OP and others on the forum. Is it right, is it fair...nope. But there is drama nonetheless.

For whatever reason, a number of people are bothered by individuals that feel the need to post a new thread when there is an existing thread that could be utilized. Some folks believe posting tons of repetitive threads makes finding info using the search feature problematic. In my opinion, this is an issue which seems to cause the most drama on any forum...it's not limited to this one.

I believe Boba Ben was just offering some helpful advice to the OP. Look...nobody likes the unnecessary bickering and arguing. So why engage in the same behavior that caused the problem in the first place? I understand it is not fair, I understand the OP can post wherever he wants. Personally I don't have a problem with the OP. I think Ben was simply suggesting that in order to preserve the peace and put the focus back on collecting statues try posting in existing, applicable threads when possible. I agree with a comment made earlier by Sloaner...if the OP posted his updated pics in the "show your shelves" section he wouldn't endure half of the drama that he goes through. In fact, he would probably have one of the most followed threads in the forum.

To the OP...good luck and I hope things work out for you.
