Kinda yeah, but it would make for the most emotional death of the whole MCU I can tell you that.

Evans is already signed on and currently shooting Infinity War 1 and 2 back to back, he's definitely not dying in this movie.

I think if anyone has a chance at dying, it's War Machine, the fans don't really seem to care about him at all, I like Don Cheadle as an actor, but man since he's taken over the role that characters has gone to ****. Getting rid of Terrance Howard was a huge mistake.

Thor, Cap, Iron Man, Hulk, Antman, Black Panther and Widow are all untouchable right now. Hawkeye could bite it but I doubt it.

Howard is as charismatic as a rock with cancer burning in the sun.

I think Cheadle is much better as Rhodes.

I mean Evans could still die and even be in flashbacks or be resurrected. As we know the only definite deaths are Ben Urich and Det. Oscar Clemons and they are Netflix people lol.

I mean look, we got Peggy in AoU and Ant-Man. Just because they are filmed in it, does really give em a large role in that specific film.

I think Don Cheadle has zero chemistry with Robert Downey. Terrance Howard was one of the best parts of Iron Man in my opinion, I honestly cared about Rhodey in the MCU more before he suited up and think that's because Howard did a better job in the role.

That's true, that definitely could happen and it seems like routine in the MCU to kill someone off and then bring them back anyway, but I think audience is starting to get tired of that and marvel might not be able to keep relying on that from now on.

:exactly:

I liked Cheadle in "Weekend of Boretron"...but Howard was better and I really felt he and Tony were real friends.

Nah, groot already died and came back.

Even better. Have Thanos kill Baby Groot. :lol

Purple Man being in a MCU film would have been amazing. Even if he killed Widow or Hawkeye; it'd be in such a ****ed up grotesque kill, I'd actually applaud if that happened. :lol

I agree. Killgrave would have been an incredible villain if given a bigger role. Imagine if he could control Hulk? :horror Or, as you said, pit Widow vs Hawkeye. So many great stories that could be told there.

Yup, there's just zero chemistry between them, and It's sort of hard to buy Cheadle in the role, he's just totally miscast.

Howard > Cheetos.

Sure Cheetos is a decent actor, but that doesn't matter, Howard had great chemistry with Stark and was fun to watch before he became WM.

Shame that Howard has dometic violence history though.

I think of Cheadle more like trying to impress Tony. Howard just seemed like he has a boulder up his ass; hardly ever seemed like someone that would be actual friends with Tony Stark. I guess that aspect bothers me; but they had some good moments like the plane and humvee scene before the Stark's capture.

Very true, I would hope if they kill someone, they stay dead. Seems like a lazy tactic.

I will admit that I'm not very knowedgable about Cheadle's other films. From what I've seen with him, he has this serious role. He seems like he's just trying to be a chill guy as Rhodes. Unless it correlates to him and his job, then he becomes the hardass that he hates being.

Cheetos :lol :rotfl

When I see this scene, it breaks my little Grinch heart :monkey2

Damn, I want to cry now after watching that clip.

Really? I don’t know. IM2 he pretty much fights off Tony and takes the suit to his superiors, and throughout that movie didn’t seem interested much in trying to help conquer his demons. Howard in IM1 cared more about Tony than his job, and to be honest, I think Terrance Howard out of the suit has done more to help Tony than Cheadle has as WM in the 3 movies they’ve been in together now. In fact I think ever since Cheadle has been WM Stark has done nothing but save him :lol

Cheadle is actually a good actor though, a better actor than Terrance Howard in my opinion, but Howard was better suited for WM in my opinion.

I'm not sure how much better Howard would have been after Iron Man 1. I don't think it's as much Cheadle's acting as how the character's written. In Iron Man 1, Rhodey was serious to Tony's goofball attitude, but they were just partners in crime more or less, Tony made the Tech, Rhodey used it. Come Iron Man 2, Rhodey is being used by the government to get to Iron Man, he's got people riding his ass to make him control Tony into doing what they want, he's trying to look out for his friend but Tony doesn't make it easy, he's much more serious and less of a likable person, he steals Tony's tech, etc. Maybe Howard would have been a little better, but I think the dramatic difference was the change in character. Cheadle can be very lighthearted, look at the Ocean's movies, but he was almost uptight in Iron Man and I feel like a lot of it is how his character was written.

That could be it too, but for some reason, I still just see Don Cheadle when I watch these movies whereas I bought Terrance Howard as Rhodey in Iron Man 1.

I don't think either of them made a good Rhodey to be honest... I wouldn't mind if War Machine died, but I always imagined him taking Tony's spot after Tony retires.

I can see RDJ leaving soon or becoming a mentor like character and not Iron Man anymore.... so if War Machine isn't the new robot man, who would be?

I see Tony either dying in Infinity Wars or reaching a point where he retires for good. Given the emphasis of Tony's fear of what's coming, I wouldn't be shocked if a turning point in the battle was him sacrificing himself, he's hell bent on protecting the world, it would make sense with his story for him to do so, and it would be a fitting growth from thenTony that argued about taking one for the team, he was already willing to in Avengers, now he can die doing it.

Maybe it's because I'm accustomed to watching Howard as a weed smoking pimp, but. . .he seemed more like a natural friend to Stark than Cheadle to me. :lol I like both, but they do seem like different characters.
