I am much more stoked about this than BVS

I am getting a bit more interested in BVS though....Its something about this movie it just looks way better... cannot quite place it.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's Bucky that dies at the end of Civil War. I know he signed that 9 picture deal but I could see Bucky dying making Cap quit and give into Ross and if the time stone is introduced in doctor strange I could see Cap traveling back in time to save Bucky instead of someone traveling back in time to save Cap for infinity war. I could actually see Caps journey in Infinity war part 1 or 2 being to travel back in time to stop Civil War from happening because it's that divide that crushes them against Thanos. Cap prevents Civil War, travels back to Thanos invasion, the avengers are back together and they stop Thanos.

I'm not sure if the time stone has been discussed here but I've heard it mentioned and I do think it will play a part in Infinity War, maybe it could be someone else that prevents civil war.

That would defeat the purporse of having the civil war movie if it could just be altered. Might as well travel back to stop Loki or Thanos. They did it for the xmen movies in days of future past which was a good thing really but not for the MCU. It worked for xmen as they needed a reboot kinda thing as they needed jean n cyclops alive.

Marvel has stated what will keep these movies going is strong good characterization and storytelling.. Throwing "Comic Book Movie" out there just makes this sound like childish drival like many people in hollywood feel. Is that what you want, or these movies to be actually good and taken a little more seriously like most movies. I don't think the writers, directors, actors and everyone else feels they're just making "Comic Book'' movies. That's what animation is for.

No, not what I want but what we usually get.

Let's look at it without passion and tell me honestly that, with the exception of Iron Man 1 and TWS, these movies are anything but pop corn movies, greatly entertaining, quickly forgotten, none that can achieve classic or even cult status.

They are just what they are, solid, entertaining CBM.. I have all of them on my shelf and haven't even felt like watching them again after the first viewing. No need to ask too much of them because we won't get it

Showed the trailer to my woman and she doesn't want to see them fighting. :lol

Told her to pick a side and she wants RDJ to win. Evans doesn't have the 80's in his pocket. :lol

Very true.. I would throw the 1st Cap and even the 1st Thor in there. There were moral lessons to learn thrown in there as well. Both Avengers without a doubt are just big massive slugfest popcorn comic book movies, which is entertaining, but the stand alone movies are where the characterization needs to come in. This, Civil War, really is a stand alone movie so should be lumped in with those others more than the Avengers movies. So we should expect more especially since it's the Russo's who made Winter Soldier one the best Marvel movies. I have a 10 year old son who shares the same love of these characters(& Star Wars) as me. I have every Blu-Ray so far as well but we have watched these many many times... :) ..... He loves Iron Man. I love Thor..... The only thing I didn't let him watch was Daredevil & Jessica Jones. He does watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and even Agent Carter which surprisingly he enjoys. He's definitely too young for those.

I think the problem is Marvel had 2 plans. One with Spidey, & one without. At the last minute they had to change gears and go with Spidey which they as well were more prepared for it not happening than actually coming to an agreement with Sony. So my biggest concern is Spidey actually hurts the story instead of helping the story. We shall all see soon enough.... :clap

Well, TFA wasn't too bad, but I've always been put off by the fact that a guy created to fight nazi scums during WWII ends up starring in a movie with barely any nazis in it. Come on, I know Hydra are bad guys, but making a period movie without nazis looked quite stupid and a missed opportunity to me. Hydra may be bad, but they look cartoonish compared to a real monster like Hitler.

I loved it as a person who's sick and tired of WWII and Nazy in film. There's enough already and there'll be more.
I really liked how TFA made fun of Cap's poster boy image after showing his character's strengths.

You have a point, but at the same time to use real Nazi's and Hitler may be a bit much for a kid friendly movie. Marvel does make family movies. If Cap was created later it never would've been actual Nazi's. Different times. So of course Marvel went with a more modern take and integrated their version with Hydra and the Red Skull. The Nazi's and Hitler were mentioned, just never shown. I think they did the right thing. DC on the other hand with their "realistic dark & gritty cinematic universe :)slap)" would use Hitler in a minute.

Re: New Civil War Trailer

Great trailer, not sure what I think of the Spidey suit, though.
