Reeve's Sups was the first superhero to break the fourth wall, not DD.

Well, I didn't love Deadpool too much. I liked it but i'm just not a huge Deadpool fan in general but i'm super happy for the fans of the character that got a great Deadpool movie. From what I can tell, people do like it more than TWS so I hope that's the case!
I feel the same way about Deadpool sure it had jokes but it started out amazingly and then it stalled until the end scene the middle was slow picked up a little until he escaped but you can tell they need some more stuff.

If civil war isn't as "good" as deadpool I think the mcu fanboys are in trouble. I also don't see the big deal in these first reactions, If I saw BVS as early as they did with no critic opinions to put me in a bad mood I probably would have said the the same things on my twitter. Hell, if I saw Civil War this weekend I don't doubt I would have tweeted a glowing review.

As a comic fan boy, when I first saw the Green Lantern movie I was really digging it. Then after my geekiness wore off I saw it for what it was and my head started to hurt while watching it. As a fan of all things comic books it's always great to see characters that you've only read about come to life on the screen, but there comes a point when you have to put aside the fanboy and look at things as they really are. Good or bad.

A studio has to try real hard for me not to find something enjoyable about cbm. I watch these films for the experience i.e. hanging with family and fellow enthusiast versus looking for Oscar winning film making....you give me a likable character and I am invested watching their story unfold good or bad. I have no doubt I'll enjoy this film unless the bros drop the ball.

Law of averages say I am due for a stinker (enjoyed DP & BvS) but I doubt this'll be it. Still have SS, XMen, Dr Strange and Rogue One coming up

We are all biased to so degree because we are fans of these types of movies and that natural, but sometimes it's important to distance ourselves so the genra can grow and improve itself. For me my expectations are mostly shaped by the trailers as they now show a great deal of the movie I get a vibe of the movie and that usually is the same outcome I get once I actually see it rarely am I surprised .

IM3, TTDW.

I did not like IM3, but I must be one of the few that holds TTDW higher than the first Thor. I did not like the first Captain America either. Thor and Captain America were the low points of Phase One for me.

Im2, IM 3, Thor, Thor 2, I also think the first Capt America is god awful (its almost got a cool WW2 thing going in the beginning but then loses it all). Also in terms of being a good film the first Avengers movie is almost unwatchable, it feels like a 3 hour movie that goes around in circles. The year I got the DVD I brought it up to college and we were having a movie night and I was forced by the crowd to shut it off :rotfl and it was my decision to put it on :slap
