I'm sure there will be another threat they conjure up after Thanos. Or maybe they won't even get to Thanos in the Infinity War and the one you follow is an impostor played by Trevor Slattery.

Probably. I've been doing my best to avoid most of the clips, definitely saw too much of BvS before the film was released.

The fact that guys like this (and other YouTube "celebrities") are considered this generation's answer to "At The Movies" pretty much says it all. :
It's not the actual act of removing the helmet that makes him a great villain, it's that it revealed a more complex, layered, emotional character and allowed a great actor to convey that. It's the entire point.
