Amazing how MCU is handling their lower tier characters.

If I take anything away from MCU, that would be it.

CB didn't need to scream to get his purpose across.

His elevator scene was menacing.

Yeah he was pretty intense.......... a good performance

Crossbones and Batroc were baws! Way more interesting than Malekith or Ronan, I can't wait to see CB fully suited.

But they're lower tier villains, Zod's a higher tier for me, I liked him a lot.

Thats the thing with Marvel, at least for now their super powerful villains, are kind of lame. But the more grounded bad guys are great. Grillo is more memorable than Malekith and Ronan combined

They had a shot with Malekith, he's supposed to be a fun joker type villain, but they made it all "Hmmph evil evil evil **** life! Everybody must die here's my doomsday device, I'm so bad"

My list is:

Great:
Skull
Stane
Loki
Pierce

Ok or Good but don't have much weight or consequence:
Nebula
Batroc
CB
Whiplash
Zola

Everything else is crap in my book, the frost Giants were also butchered in the movie, they're supposed to be actual giants, and in Thor they're just a little roided out, a handful of Giants should be able to make Thor and his party retreat...

Not actually villains, more like plot devices or weapons but still cool:
TWS
Destroyer.

I was going to place Pierce as great, but I took a point off for him not being the RS. :lol

The Ice Giant king was well played and frightening.

I'm a bit surprised folks like Rumlow so much. He's got potential and all, but he just felt like a generic 2nd tier villain to me with his small handful of lines and scenes. And all Batroc did was sit around looking grumpy, then had a good fight scene. Yeah, they were in a good movie, but c'mon now. Better than Justin Hammer and Obadiah Stane?

Though this runs contrary to the geek consensus, I thought Ronan and Malekith were both pretty good in the way that they presented themselves. They were both mean sons of *******. Yeah, they weren't "modern," charismatic bad guys the masses enjoy watching like Loki, "realistic," misguided ideologues like Pierce, or wacky/distinctive characters like Joker or Justin Hammer, but they fit the traditional bad guy mold. They presented a major threat that provided an impetus for the protagonists to take action. The problem I do see is that they fell into a typical kind of bad guy pattern. But that's the case with almost all villains in comic book movies. If every comic villain was trying to ape Joker or Loki I think we would all get bored of that pretty quickly.

Visually he would make a cool figure. It's just a massive fail when they make Trevor Slattery and not a cosmic villain from this film.
