Wow. For weeks I've hovered the pre-order button for the steelbook. Keep in mind I've never purchased a steelbook. Had no idea that they sell out like that.... bummer.

The Best Buy ones do..the Guardians steelbook was gone before it hit the shelves

Had no idea that steelbooks existed before this site. The first one I got was AOU on eBay after an employee at Best Buy told me that they sell out quickly on the day of release ... Since then, I've preordered them months in advance.

Good to know. Obviously $40+ isn't retail, but is that as good as it will be on the secondary market? I'm not necessarily in a rush but if it only gets higher from here I might make a decision sooner than later.

I only started collecting steelbooks very recently but I've found that it isn't too hard to find old releases on eBay for reasonable prices.
