So comic collectors are happy because it looks nothing like CE?
Point is this is meant to be a representarion of Chris Evans playing Capt.

TFA PF had a decent portrait so they can pull it off.
Thor, on the other hand, they have struggled with on both releases.
Anyway, I feel sorry for anyone who's been waiting over two years for a Evans Statue. Portrait is truly horrible.

Well SSC has said they were not going to change anything and it has been out there no looking like CE for two years.... So I have little sympathy :)

The Box art looks more like CE then the sculpt ;)

Celebrating the much-anticipated release of Marvel's film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Sideshow is proud to present the Captain America Premium Format(TM) Figure. With a stunning likeness of award-winning actor Chris Evans, we've captured every aspect of super patriot Steve Rogers as he prepares to battle the Soviet agent known as the Winter Soldier. Featuring a screen-accurate sculpted costume, and switch-out classic and stealth shields, the Captain America Premium Format(TM) Figure is an outstanding addition to any Marvel collection.

Takes some balls to write that

In all honesty I think this is a great statue. If he was wearing his more traditional colors and the shield was more on display I would get this no questions asked. For know I am waiting on the new IS version. If that ends up not being very good I will be picking this one up.

But Chris Evans this is not.

^^^ LOL that does take some balls :rotfl.

But I agree I think the statue looks great, but obviously this is very disappointing for many who wanted a likeness to evans. With that aside, I love the strike suit and plan to display this with the stealth shield on his arm and the red battle damage shield in the front propped up against the base.

LMAO Jaws. That really did make me lol. I'd rep the hell out of you if I could.

So I waited 2 and a half years for something that looks less like the proto? Was really forward to this being my first PF but with so much coming out this year I have no choice but to cancel this. I could see friends coming over my house to look at it and say how it looks nothing like Evans, even in the slightest

Smart move. The more I look at both head sculpts, the more this statue disappoints. Both look terrible. The eyes are too blue, the skin tone is bad, ugh. Again, I think the rest of the statue is pretty good but I would not spend my hard earned money on this one.

The likeness on this is pretty bad. The iron studios one is top notch. Cool statue but the Evans likeness isn't there. I would just cancel or send it back.

If anyone wants ex. I'll give you mine for free

Wow......for those who wanted a Chris Evans likeness, this is a bitter disappointment. It honestly looks nothing like him..........not even remotely. I was thinking about ordering this and I'm glad I didn't. I'll just keep my search going for the First Avenger PF which isn't spot on either, but WAY better than this one.

To be fair with Sideshow, there was no nrd when they put this on sale with only a concept art. Then the prototype already had no likeness to Evans, so I don't see why people bought it anyway expecting a major miracle and a different head sculpt. Not sure if i'd give a full refund to someone who cancels for the lack of likeness if I were them honestly.

Yes I saw that part and took a good laugh at it, lol, but it's marketing and just a line in a description that is secondary when you have a ton of photographic proof that likeness is just not there... It's not something that can't be spotted like a pvc piece advertised as resin or such.
Not sure if I'd take a McDonald's like description over a full gallery of obvious pictures as a valid argument for a refund, even if they should really totally absolutely delete that line rofl
