Captain Barbossa wanted! Can anyone help?

A headsculpt from Ada or BobbyB would work if you don't have that much money to spend but I would advice to have them painted by someone else, like DarkArtist or Darren.

As far as tailors, I'm surprised no one has thought of me. I sew, from time to time

I might be able to tackle a Barbossa figure, when my schedule loosens up a bit. I would want to resculpt the head, though. Would give me an excuse to bring back my Jack, anyway.

Well Darren, DarkArtist and Les Walker do amazing headsculpts but cost a bit more then others. They are also backlogged with work for some time so it will take a while for your head to be finished probably.

I checked out Les's stuff, amazing work. I'll look at DarkArtist's too, thanks! It's better to wait and get something really special i think.

A 1/6 Tailor would be wondeful, you're right he'd be a busy man indeed! Reckon he could make a living from it even! I was thinking about the waistcoat last night, it's a beaut for sure, I like a double breasted number! So many tricky bits to sort, trust me to want something hard to do!
I like your head idea, that would be a good one I reckon.

I am making a Pirate army! The Warlords heads by Hot Toys are gonna be some of my crew, and One of the Hot Toys Army fella's has a huge beard, saw one of that head on ebay a few weeks back but missed it! it's getting hard to get enough clothes together though!
Sorry about The Will! If I don't use all the bits you can have first offer!!

That sculpt is fantastic. I didn't even realize what what he did with that second picture for a minute.

I'd be willing to offer a Barbossa head for those interested. No "commission fee" I'll just do it and sell them. If you have enough people that want a sculpt, you don't need a fee. You're gonna make your money. Never really got that where group orders are concerned.

Anyway, I'll do a new one. Not to change anything really; I'll base it mostly on my current sculpt since you guys seem to like it. I just want to "resculpt" it to work out some rough and weak spots. He'll also have real hair and a bandana. I may even offer the hat. Hand-made NOT cast! The hat itself is a simple design. It's basically a very wide-brimed Zorro hat with the front turned up. The trick is, that feather decoration on the crown. Probably best to use real feathers. Chime in if you want a Barbossa head!

I think a custom would be doable -- although parts are very tough to come by and some, like the vest, would have to be heavily altered to look correct -- but the one piece that seems lacking out there is Barbossa's coat. Shawn, do you have any ideas where to find one like that, or do you have any interest in making that too? Obviously a Barbossa headsculpt would sell better if people knew they could make the rest of the figure.

BTW, one note: Barbossa's hat is round on the crown, not squared off like Zorro.

I think the lack of head sculpt and correct clothing bits is a huge hindrance to getting this going any time soon.

That, plus you don't even list Barbossa in your sig.
