Captain Hook PF

Shadow Man would be a cool PF, but I didn't care for his design all that much. His stomach sticking out annoyed the hell out of me. I dunno why.

Have to say this is quite an impressive looking PF. Just looks really cool to me.

it looks like only the red jacket is fabric on Hook.

Sideshow has been skimping on the fabric on alot of the more recent PFs. Particularly the Marvel ones.

I think it is difficult to do the really tight costumes like Hook and Marvel characters have. I thought what they had done before looked pretty good though, so I don't why they're going backwards.

If this is $299 I think it might be ok, but much more than that and I would think they skimped.

The Blackbeard seemed expensive at the time, but you get a much more detailed figure with much more fabric.

The did tight costumes on many Marvel pieces initially and they look great.

Resin is cheap, cheap, cheap. I think at some point they made a choice to skimp, skimp, skimp.

Yeah it probably is cheaper to do a sculpt and mold than do all that fabric to make outfits.

Looks like it is. The big question is whether it is attached to the base or a seperate. I also think there is a slight chance it might be the exclusive, but there is no evidence for or against that.

This actually looks pretty cool for a Hook PF. When I think of Hook from the movie this is the same pose I always picture him in. Bet the croc will be the EX though.

I think the choice of making the pants/socks polystone was a good choice. I'm not sure how good it would've looked where the sock/pants meet. Overall I think this piece looks solid. I think I'm 99% in on this one

Captain Hook looks great. I kind of would like to catch up with the Evil Queen and Maleficent then order this. Not sure though.

I love the Disney Masterpiece movies. I'd also like to buy the Princesses (if they ever make any) for my daughter for when she gets older.

Can't believe SS has had the Disney license for over 2 years already and we have had like 4 or 5 pieces announced.

I think they have only had the license a year, but could be wrong. Let's see, they've done Evil Queen, Maleficent, Chernabog, Rocketeer, Dastan, Jack Sparrow, and now Hook and Tron...

But I agree, sure wish they would get some more out more quickly. I think if Hook sells well, we might see Jafar or another animated male villain. And I'd bet dollars to donuts that a Jessica PF will be out in 2011.

I get the impression ss has no interest in princesses.
