Actually I hope they include both, to give people a choice. It'd explain why this one cost more.

MUCH better headsculpt; now, if only they would change the gold in the costume to match the yellow boots, at least the chest symbol and belt.

That is a great improvement. Of course it could just be the photography. I like the gold in the costume though - wouldn't want to see that changed and the yellow boots is pretty much how Ross depicts him, I believe.

Oh yeah, I realize that, and also that these DCD 13"-ers are based on the Ross paintings, I just don't like the un-matched look it gives. It just seems like there should be more yellow for balance. But I'm more of a "classic look" supporter, I suppose. It still looks great, and the head is a big improvement! I'll have to consider some customization, I guess!

I liked the original headsculpt fine. But I do like this new one even more. It's also more in keeping with Superman, Green Lantern and the other 13" figures more determined or serious expressions.

Okay, my bad. Obviously very different heads. The new one is much better and more Ross-like.

That new pic just has a different head photochopped on there. Look at the body pose, shadows and cloth wrinkles, they are exactly the same in the 2 pics.

Good point. I wonder if they're upsizing a smaller figures head for it? I guess we'll see in 4 days.

i'm not real familiar with this character's costume. why isn't the gold parts all gold, including the boots, or all yellow? having yellow and gold on the costume seems goofy.

it would be like if superman had a gold belt, but yellow on his chest emblem.

Hopefully it's fixed in the release, I'll ask Julius Marx to bring it up at SDCC. If the boots become the same color as the gold trim then this will easily become my favorite DCD 13", which is saying something since I love the Green Lantern figure a lot.

Now that looks good. I'm now much more interested then I was before. I agree, They should change the boots to gold and it would be perfect.

Here's a new Pic of 13" Captain Marvel. I think that he is now wearing gold colored boots. They don't appear to be as shinny as the other gold accents in his costume but not as bright a yellow as his previous boots.

WOW, that looks MUCH better. All the other DCD 13-inchers look great, too. Can't wait for Bats, Aquaman & Flash. The Superman looks improved over the previous release. Now, lets see Hawkman & Green Arrow!

The boots aren't gold like the other accents, but they are kind of a mustard yellow. I think he looks fabulous, especially with the new head. They have all of the 13" together in a case and they look great all together.
