Looking at mine now I have it in hand, it looks great and quite real looking but deffo nothing like the promo.
Can anyone tell me whats making if off from the promo pic. Is it the eyes or maybe the nose, or maybe both?
I think its the eyes myself. Pic not mine by the way.

Slightly less exposed forehead. Tilt your head slightly to the left and eyes slightly (just a pinch) up and you're golden my friend! Your piece looks great!

In my opinions, it's the paint around the beard and eye brows/eyes, plus the hair style, throwing it off the most. Someone customized one that looked almost like the proto higher up in the thread.
As promised here is my rework.

More images will be on IG @rfcustomfigures

Full rework of the beard and eyebrows and eye accentuation. Hair fully reshaped, bangs cut and overall style finesse.

Yeah the biggest difference is in the paintwork quality and people getting different hair styling. Paintwork not as finely detailed as the prototype, but still pretty good for a mass production. Wish the beard paint was better. This is my hair out of the box.

Finally opened Gandalf after having him since last year. I hope I did these figs more justice since I just discovered portrait mode on my iPhone camera. Nothing captures the quality in person in any pictures I try to take. I also used better lighting but I still wish I had a background to make it more professional. All I did was arrange Gandalf’s hair by pushing most of it behind him and pinching his beard so it’s pointier. On Aragorn all I did was bring some bangs to the front and pinch the sides in to hug his face. I need to wet the clothes, especially on Gandalf’s sleeves. But I’m happy overall on both production pieces.

Still there. Don’t want to hear no belly aching from someone because they missed out again. The deluxe was up for awhile the other week and now the standard. Gotta pay attention peeps.
I'm also tempted to get one but honestly one is enough and I agree if no one goes for it now and it sells out no one can complain later they never got one.

If I were a richer man -- and had more room for display -- I'd absolutely grab a second one to customize for the Amon Hen look.

Thought about it. Just can't work up the enthusiasm for InArt at the moment. There always seems to be something, like now the sculpted doesn't have ears. In theory that's meaningless but it just feels like more corner cutting. I'm still waiting on TOPO's cloak.

And TBH HT sculpted hair blows InArt out of the water, at least with some figs. It's like, nearly 400$ for a fig that I feel uneven about. And I have dupes of a few figs - Thorin, Thranduil, Gimli. Tho they didn't cost that much.

I own the sculpted version.... :p. Curious though, are collectors opening the brown laces on shirt to expose the chest or is that out of box? Mine was tied up pretty tight!
Mine was laced up completely as well. I had to loosen it an open up the shirts myself.

Nice! Is it a rooted or sculpted? I ordered a sculpted from Sugo but haven’t received any emails yet.👍

I got my rooted from Sugo earlier this week so the sculpted should be close.

Applied a tiny bit of water using my fingers to the hair and I'm happy with how it turned out, he photographs nicely in natural light.
