I was counter-riled and considered posting a retort to your initial posts. I'm glad I hesitated. I'd hate to have posted an angry reply and then seen this^ :lol

I'd be willing to bet everyone here supports equality of opportunity - not equality of outcome though. It's an important distinction.

That's what my earlier ''I won't say it'' post was in reference to. :D

Absolutely, the person who's most qualified should get the job. And why didn't you? I miss it. :(

I think it's unfair to lump all of them as "elite". Many of them came from severe hardships (even going homeless) before they eventually broke out with fame. Not saying that Leo did this, but it's not uncommon for actors and actresses to go through this.

This is true... But many seem to go through a change a few years after they made it. But yeah I was guilty of generalizing there

See, we're all becoming better. We're growing. We're evolving. When you think about it, you can say Brie Larson did this so we can have a challenging discussion. That woman... she's something else isn't she? Look what she did. She got a bunch of guys to come together with different opinions and from it, we have had meaning, constructive communication. *waves his hand in the air* The power of Captain Marvel.

hehehe

I have my good moments. Bookmark this when I go on the reaction vs. response again.

Lol

I am not wrong about that though. There are people who believe that reverse racism is a thing.

Just to make sure I get where u are coming from. Are you saying non whites are not capable of racism... I know that is the opinion of some... there has been an attempt to change the definition of the word so to fit that narrative.. ie.. Racism can only come from those in a place of power..

Lol...I do share a last name with her... perhaps we are related and share some kind of inner connection. Lol

I just hope the movie doesn't suck by rehashing the same formulaic crap that Hollywood keeps pumping out. I am kind of bored of the whole Hollywood scene to be quite frank, and my name isn't Frank.

I used to see one or two movies at the theatre every week to now only seeing a few throughout the year. I think the last movie I saw at the theatre was in mid November.

Dammit, you quoted me before I edited to ate, but you got it. My Ash's Book of the Dead. Dammit! You can't have Ash Williams without the Necronomicon!

Damn, that does suck! My condolences for your loss. Lol, I could see how'd be on a hair trigger after that.

Well.. You have 2 options. Buy a new one, or wait for it to pass through. Either way, good luck!

Btw, Army of Darkness is my favorite of the Ash flicks. Which one is yours?

That makes so much more sense lol

One thing's for sure though, she's getting what she wanted and really making me rethink my gender norms :lol

Army of Darkness was my favourite of the trilogy, but Ash vs. Evil Dead was better than any of the other films. Better writing, production value, props, and effects, and heck, Bruce making actual words and not just making awkward groans and sounds.

I just love discussing things and having an honest back and forth...

Props to Eli for not taking my first couple of jokes seriously...

That's why you're Khev's posterboy in the threadcrapping post, your reputation proceeds you. Keep it up!

I actually haven't seen that. I have a netflix account and all but it never occurred to me. Considering you have the same favorite of the trilogy as me and still rank it higher, I'll definitely have to check out.

But no, she wanted to carry on like the entire MCU has been leading up to HER and damn anyone from the evil white patriarchy who wants to "ring" on her parade.

:lol

So you've seen that interview eh? You could even tell she was really stretching just to come up with something negative to say out of nowhere, even though nothing up to that point was remotely related. She just can't leave it alone.

I don't have any problem with Captain Marvel being super powerful (just like I have no issues with WW being stronger than Batman). It's just hard to ignore the insufferably unlikable actress that is playing her and of course the possible "Rodimus Prime" syndrome of a brand new character showing up from out of nowhere that no one likes or asked for and upstages the main heroes that we've grown to love for many years.

I truly hope not, and I highly doubt we'll see them die in the first 10min only for her to take over like in that flick (leaving a generation of scarred children :lol), but I do have some concerns about her upstaging our favorite heroes to some extent. Captain Misandry's already cast a bit of a shadow.

"Darken our brightest hour (endgame)... Arise, Misandrus Prime!"

Damn you guys have been busy.
The reasons I’m skipping the film is 5% because of Ms. Larson’s antics, 95% because of my dislike of the character.
A fair article on the subject

Also, it looks like her comic Has been relaunched 9 times since 2012. Marvel would have been better off just introducing a brand-new female character.

Going tonight first show (obviously) but I am not liking this Brie in any of her press-talk show interviews she has NONE of the charisma that RDJ, Evans, ScarJo, Hemsworth, Chadwick, Cheadle, Olsen, etc have in spades.

Ok fine yes she’s attractive but whatever lol
