Simplest Unboxinh video ever and I don’t mind the matte chrome. What’s Exclusive about it though?

I hope this goes to a special deal asap after its release:lol

where the hell is the shine?

You'll find this in the special savings section by next spring

I like the design and pose etc on this, I think Sideshows art dep did a pretty decent job (even though she's a wasted/pointless character) But there's no way around it. That's Matte grey which is entirely the wrong colour.

You're not wrong.

But again I don't believe their prototype ever had a metallic shine to it. So no surprise there.

Which is why I ended up cancelling my preorder for this.

I have this coming and am disappointed. I did not expect chrome but I also did not expect dull grey. sigh.

I dont understand why they didnt kind of match the 1/6 scale ? its looks much more chromy then the PF ...

Well not to state the obvious, but one is Hot Toys and the other is Sideshow, and there have always be quality differences.

Yeah, definitely not anywhere near the Proto. Disappointing.

Well it is Sideshow. And a Sideshow movie related piece at that, and how often have they produced a production piece that is comparable to their prototype in recent years. It does occur, but it's rare.

I don’t buy many because the characters they decide to do don’t usually interest me, but if this is the norm way to look at how they do PF’s, that’s even more sadder.

If you want manufacturers with a better reputation for keeping quality from prototype to production, you'll have to look at other manufactures. Prime 1 and XM are for example rumoured to use the same production factories to produce the prototypes that they use for the original promotional/prototype materials.

The drop in quality for Sideshow has more to do with the fact that the factories they use are unable to maintain the high standard of their prototypes. Whether that has something to do with the factories capabilities or that Sideshow isn't paying them enough for the required time that's needed.

i've been so close on ordering this. glad i waited for the production piece. that paint is just lame! i hope it's just the vid but it seems it really have a matte paint on it. lol

I know it sucks to do this but I'm sure those that really want this piece could probably order it and have it professionally repainted with really awesome silver shiny chrome paint.
