Thanks for the heads up!!! :hi5:
I've been looking forward to another sale like this from them!!!

EDIT - ok, this is bothersome...as I've been making a list of the things I want tomorrow, things are going into pre-order when they were in-stock!! do you think people are already placing items in their cart and it's reserving them, or are they being sneaky and pulling the items off of the sale.

Rex was listed on their site but now hes not :huh
Same with Hammerhead.

FINALLY!

I just got Captain Rex from Sideshow. I appreciate their helping me out to get him, but wow...flexpay made for a long wait to get him.

But Rex rocks!

Congrats! My Rex has arrived and I'm heading across the border after work to pick him up-- it's going to make the day seem excruciatingly looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong. :monkey2

the sale was "live" as soon as you received the email. You did not have to wait until today. I missed out as well, but people were ordering these since 4:00 est yesterday. They were sold out of all the good stuff by midnight.

Thanks for the heads up!!! :hi5:

I just received my new Rex head. I was right the head I had gotten originally is totally missing that piece. So now I can put the Rex head on and not have it wobble off! I feel sorta stupid for not catching it sooner OOPS. But thanks to Sideshow they replaced the head. :)

picked up Rex from Hastings using $25 credit. He is freaking cool. I had passed on the pre-order and sideshow release but figured I would check him out in person and see if he was worth using my $25 credit. He was.

My son received his Rex for his birthday over the weekend. And it is needlees to say that he was stoked. Captain Rex is his favorite character and Sideshow's figure, being as cool as it is, was a dream-come-true for him.

Captain Rex made it through a day without damage, but the box is getting a workout because every time my son wants to take a break from playing with him, he goes back into it.

I am getting used to the idea of letting that figure go. I will wait to open one for myself until I get an exclusive for a reasonable price.

How old is your son darth cruel?

He turned 12 on the 23rd (April).

D.C.

You are a good man!!

What we do for those little tikes.

:duff

Thanks. Yeah...he has been in constant contact with that figure since he got it. He puts it back in the box and sleeps with the box next to him. I HAVE to get a picture of that. When he was a lot younger (like 4 years old), McFarlane was doing the Movie Maniacs series and came out with the big boxed Queen Alien..that Queen Alien was his "teddy bear" for as long time. Seeing that Sideshow Captain Rex box next to his pillow reminds me of that.

Rex's box is already in worse shape than ANY Star Wars or GI Joe figure box from Sideshow that I have ever personally seen. But knowing how much he loves that figure makes it all good.

Alien Queen as a Teddy Bear? Dude that rocks!! Its nice to see your own kids enjoy and embrace the things you like. My daughter is only 4 and is really girlie and likes all girlie stuff but she loves for me to show her my toys. Everytime I get a new one she gets excited and asks me for their name. Hopefully she will keep doing that for the rest of her life. Since they are gonna be hers one day anyway.

Great story! Enjoy and appreciate these special times. As you've heard countless of times, they do go by quickly.

The Rex I received has darker yellow hair than most that are showing up on the board, any other color mishaps out there?

That's a great story Darth Cruel and it is so cool that both you and your son can share a hobby. You should post a pic of the Rex box, I bet some people on here would have a mild heart attack, LOL.

That is a good idea. I think I will.
