Verdict is in. After one day of deliberation.

Aggravated Murder - Not Guilty
Aggravated Child Abuse - Not Guilty
Aggravated Manslaughter - Not Guilty
Providing false information to a police officer x 3 - Guilty

That could carry a term of 4 years in prison but they aren't sure what the judge will determine with time served, etc.

After all of the mounting evidence this feels like another OJ Trial. This is astonishing considering how damning a lot of the evidence was...

I can't believe she wasn't found guilty for child abuse. Murder, I don't believe it was the case here. She's another outstanding resident from my hometown (I lived about 30 minutes away from O-town).

Good, now I don't have to see her ugly face on TV all the time.

This case proved what's wrong with our society. How many kids are killed each and every day, yet this one case is the only one that's constantly on the news.:cuckoo:

Her lawyer is going to be raking in the cash on the book deals, I bet. Pretty surprised, but not shocked. This is the legal system after all. :lol

They're saying with misdemeanor charges, she won't serve any time.

I am seriously sick right now.

Wife called a little bit ago to tell me. What a shame. Caylee was about the same age when she died as my son is now... I just can't imagine anyone wanting to hurt a young child like that. Where's the justice?

The silver lining: Now we'll get to see the insufferable Nancy Grace's head explode Scanners-style on live TV. That I will enjoy.

I understand there might not have been enough evidence to convict her, but she waited 31 days to notify police! That is just ____ed up and pisses me off as a father.

I guess that's what it all comes down to. I don't follow tabloid news like this very closely, so I don't know all the details (or even a good chunk of them, really), but unless you are proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt as determined by a jury of your peers, then you are innocent in this country. I'm sure that the media representation of this case was not without bias. Having said that, if she did was she was accused of, then I hope she experiences justice on an EPIC scale somehow somewhere.
