You were already getting that without an increase in edition sizes and prices.

Am I? I don't currently own one, and the post you quoted speculated that the reason edition sizes are growing is to keep costs down, thus allowing me to own a Catwoman statue at an affordable price. Should the prices increase significantly because SS didn't increase the ES, or should they discontinue selling statues altogether because they were not making sufficient profit to make continuing worthwhile, then I would NOT be getting a Catwoman statue. So in essence the increase in ES is benefiting me by allowing me to get a Catwoman statue.

Also, increasing edition sizes in popular statues like the Batman and other DC lines allows Sideshow to produce other, less popular statues that otherwise would have been too cost prohibitive to make and/or sell at a reasonable price.

I swear people who are so infatuated by edition "size" are compensating for something :wink1:

Edition Size 1 of 1 for lyfe :lecture
I'm the only one worthy of possessing these statues but if I decide to sell it I want to make ten times the amount I paid for it
And if you don't know now you know

Nailed it. Welcome to the entitlement generation.

I'm seeing the benefit of getting some of my favorite characters in 1/4 statue form. :dunno

The correct response should have been, "I was? I wasn't able to get any of my favorite characters in 1/4 statue form before they started increasing edition sizes and prices." That's if you were trying to make an intelligent argument, but that would be a lie. It seems the only way you can make a logical argument is through a lie. You can lie to yourself all you want, but it will only make you look like a fool. Your cowardly insults reflect on your true nature. You can make all the excuses in the world for why Sideshow keeps increasing their edition sizes and prices, but the simple truth is that they're doing it to maximize profit.

That's Deep, M.C. and guilty of it myself sometimes of making a Analogy, that said, I agree it's all about the bottom line

Awesome... thanks. That misplaced cat was my only gripe with this otherwise perfect statue.

If you're going to have two ******* in the same place they have to be positioned properly.:lecture:monkey3

So :dunno

I will never understand why this makes people so angry.

Nobody complains that their car isn't worth what they paid as soon as they pull it off the lot.

It's a statue. Like it buy it. Want it to increase in value... Ummm you are in the wrong business.

These things increasing in value is just a nice Bonus. When I first started buying these things I had no idea the value would jump up on some of them. It was nice that it did but I did not buy it for that reason.

Sure they are expensive pieces. But if that is what upsets people I will happily point them to their nearest Toys R US. Again if the price you are paying is an issue then it's best to find another hobby now because truth is that the days of a piece being made and increasing in value to $1500 - $2000 is probably long gone. Not unless you keep it in the box and pass it down to your great grand kids.

Now if you want to make the argument that a higher edition size might effect QC then by all means. SSC should make sure they are stepping that up.

However I think the issues with batman had more to do with the difficulty of the piece and how to ship it then just "bad" QC.

Let me guess you are a liberal :slap. Last time I checked the goal of Sideshow was to make a profit, is it not? The correct argument is your a troll who is apparently not worth wasting time on. I don't give a damn about the edition size of a statue! I don't care what the reason is for Sideshow increasing their edition size. All I care about is being able to buy a statue that I will enjoy. If you want to troll message board to whine about edition sizes and pretend that your speculation about the reason behind them is more enlightened the the rest of us, have at it. At the end of the day I'm going to be happy, enjoying the new edition to my collection, while you wallow in self pity all bitter about something as stupid as the number of statues a company makes of any particular figure.

Hey that was actually a concern of mine also. I wanted to make sure I could see the cat facing me and not pointing in the other direction. When I thought it might not be movable It kept it from being all around perfect. :)

I think the only thing keeping these from being perfect is that they don't include art prints to display with them. I would much rather have the ex include a print then the jewel bag.

Without question they should have the art print. Not even as an EX just include it like the Star Wars Mythos. The Art print on this one is amazing.

I think that's every generation.

It most definitely is not. Although if your under 30 I would probably expect that answer. Not a knock at being under 30, just that the under 30 crowd didn't grow up knowing the generation that fought WWII. I think the entitlement mindset started late 80's early 90's and has gotten progressively worse since.
