On the shirt buttons, I miscounted. It's actually seven because I missed the collar.

I was going to pull the rubber cup out of the head to put blue tack on top it, but it's glued in tight.

You can normally yank them out with pliers, so I'll have to trying heating it up instead.
Yeah I wish they wouldn't glue them I've had that problem before

Also Asta how is the body for your Joel so far? I've seen pics on ebay listing it doesn't look bad but definitely could have done better

It loosened up under the hair dryer.

I added blue tack and his head/neck proportions look better.

It seems like a pretty standard narrow shoulder with separate neck and double jointed arms.

I've got him sitting in the guitar playing pose, but currently trying to work out how best to position the guitar and his arms.

That's good to be honest I'm glad they went with double jointed arms here for more dynamic posing with the arms compared to the part 1 body

I was having trouble raising his arm, so undid his shirt. From what I can see the joint construction looks identical to the body I was keeping back to use for Joel.

He has torso padding, but that wasn't the stopping the arm moving, it's just the joints are very stiff. The arm creaks loudly, as though the screws are done up too tight!

Well, the stock body can do the pose.

You have to watch the guitar strings because they get messed up by the fingers, so once his hand is gripping the neck you have to gently lift his fingers to let the strings return to their normal positions as best you can.

Wow that looks great exactly want I want him to look like. I was also thinking of building a diorama of the back porch scene from the end of the game to have him sitting on and playing, the part 1 body had the same problem with squeaky joint movements but I'm sure overtime they will stop.

That diorama would look amazing. :)

I'm surprised the pose was achievable. The hardest thing was working out his arm positions to try and make them look as natural as I could.

His right sleeve will also pull down more once he's set, to cover the arm so only the wrist ball joint shows, which I did after the last photos.

Gr

I love the figure. It’s so much better in person and I actually think I prefer the new sculpt over the prototype now that I’m seeing it in real life. Great figure for every last of us fan or for the people who missed the part 1 release.

One nitpick though. Are the buttons supposed to be like this? It doesnt really look consistent with the big gaps. Atleast it came with replacement buttons. I could try glueing them on if Im bothered enough.

No there are 2 missing it looks like, Asta said that he came with extra ones in case that would happen I'd use the tiniest bit of super glue to make sure they never come off again use a skinny toothpick too

It doesnt reallt look like there ever were buttons there at all since theres no glue marks. Honestly starting to think maybe they ran out of buttons during production.
