Most of my local friends are skipping Celebration next year. I can't believe it. They've gone from CII thru CVII, and are gonna skip CVIII. It's cuz they feel that everything good will be streamed, so there's no point in going. I can't disagree more. The fun isn't all about the panels. Sure, many of those are awesome. But the atmosphere, costumes, friends, and even talking to strangers you don't know, can be quite fun! The exhibit ball and even parties is just icing on the cake. Sure, lines suck. And the wristband thing is not going to work as well in Orlando due to larger crowds, but it's still gonna be fun. I still have one local friend coming for sure, and one that's on the fence. He's my 501st connection though, so if he doesn't go, I have no party ticket, and may have to beg one of you guys...
I still don't know where I'm staying, either. Considering Celebration is just 8 1/2 months away, this is the least prepared I've ever been...
