I was just killing time, home alone on my last weekend here in WA, and avoiding doing my case study homework like you wouldn't believe...

I was about to ask how much longer you had there. I bet it was a nice place to be for summer.

It was a very nice place to be for the summer. Just a bit too cool for me in the first month here, but it got progressively more gorgeous. The other intern and I really did the whole Northwest part of the state fairly decently with hiking, road touring, and seeing Seattle multiple times too. We did a whole hell of a lot of stuff while here. The Olympics, Mount Rainier, Mount Saint Helen's with the mentor, watching all the local and AK tribes converge on a canoe paddle that last's two months, eating everything in sight, tons of musical escapes including a private back yard party and Sarah Jarosz last week. Really too much to even list. Not to mention we had the best learning experience we could possibly hope for in a hospital setting with the best group of mentors and radiation therapists, and nurses and front desk staff, and an amazing truly dedicated doctor too. Amazing all the way around. Possibly the best decision of my life to strive to come up here, make it happen, then make the most of it.

I'll bore you with the pictures on my Mac when we're waiting in line one day.
