I had more fun at CV than any of the seven SDCCs I've been too, and while I attribute 80% of that to the camaraderie of the freaks, I would also say that the crowds are far less and therefore more comfortable, better handled as well, and with morning wait lines inside, well. I was never lost for something to do or see either. Yeah, the hall is way smaller, but it was nice to have the focus of just Star Wars.

I was actually going through the SDCC schedule tonight, and have to say, after so many years attending, it seems like pretty much the same panels go on year after year. Which is good and bad. SDCC is like one huge commercial, buy, buy, buy!

Not that the SW is not overly commercial. But there is a sense of family at a Celebration that could never be matched at the conglomerate that is the metamorphosed SDCC.

My 2 cents... :D

I'm not looking for a bias opinion... honestly, is Star Wars Celebration big enough that one could be entertained for all four days? If i go i would have to spend the money to fly all the way across the country and stay in a hotel the whole time. Comic-con i know will be worth it. But Celebration VI... thoughts?

If you don't mind seeing some panels that you may not really want to see then yes. You will kill some time in panels and you will be surpised what you will see and learn. I did spend a lot of time in panels trying to help my buddy get all the coins at CIV.

I am thinking i may go this time.

I'm gonna be at the Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination exhibit tomorrow here in Houston, so that'll get me ready for CVI action next year!! :rock :rock :rock :rotfl:rotfl:yess:

Have fun. It rocks!

I know I will! I am sure glad they let us take pictures inside the exhibit. I went to the Harry Potter exhibit when I was in New York and they didn't allow any cameras or phones inside! It's really sad too cause they had literally every piece of clothing, wand, prop and creature from all 8 movies on display! :gah::gah::gah::gah::monkey4:monkey4:monkey4:monkey2:monkey2

I loved the Hell out of CV. :lecture

I live and breath Star Wars, so I was never bored there. Plus, I met up with some great Freaks and didn't want the weekend to end.

:goodpost::1-1::goodpost:

This is what it boils down to. If you feel you have a rabid love of the Wars, this is the place for you.

I was there three days and did not get to enjoy all the there was or all the people.

I wish I had more time with my fellow freaks as when I did it was the best times I had.

There was an overwhelming sense of family amongst all attending the event. There was no judgement or bias at all as can be felt at some cons. All cosplayers were embraced and loved young and old.

It is the quintessential event for a total experience.

Focused yes, but I feel that the love of the Wars is what adds to the entire experience.

But again, just my opinion and hence why I will always go out of my way to attend a celebration (IV being my first) over any other con.

You brought up a really good point that I didn't realize. Nobody was pointing fingers or laughing at anyone dressed up. They were all cool and accepted and well photographed.

Where are you Darksider? I'm in Vegas, but I can combine Orlando Celebrations with my mom's birthday, since she is about an hour up the road from there. Maybe you can do a combo vacation with Universal or Disney?

Going to the post office to pick up my Droid Caller! :D

So when do the days start ticking by faster?!?! Seems like we've been marching to 400 for awhile.

Or maybe I check this thread to often. :lecture

Shropt, what you got? Another Stormie outfit? Hoth maybe?

Yeah and to be honest that is the part I loved the most about the experience (besides by freak brothers). Everyone was accepted for being there for what they were doing and enjoying or dressed as. It was one big family of like fans enjoying the world that was created by the maker and has drawn them all in to this common universe. It was and is very heartwarming.

Thanks for the feedback. I know i really want to go, i just wish it was a little closer. :)

Don't we all :impatient:
