I'm sure it's only if I act like a fool or something, and it's just to cover the school's butt since we will be working clinicals and representing them.

Not to sound like a douche, but I was in the room with Harrison Ford when he taped his "Sorry I can't be there" segment for CV. I was sworn to secrecy of course, considering he filmed it many months before the event and they hadn't put out the celebrity roster of attendees yet. It was exciting watching him film even that little clip. Amazing to see one of your heroes "in action"... even if only for a 20 second blip.

Gotta tell ya, I'd be ever-lovin' shocked if he was there at CVI. Not totally out of the question (he has done SDCC a couple times)... but it'd be a huge get by LFL if they can pull it off. I'd love to see James Earl Jones and/or John Williams also. Also both very long shots... but I can dream!

I vote for Natalie Portman. Baby or no baby... meow! With Ewan McGregor and Liam Neeson they could have a great prequel reunion of heavy hitters. Maybe Jimmy Smits could moderate. Who doesn't like Jimmy Smits? I mean, c'mon... dude was Victor Sifuentes!

Just out of curiosity (I'm a bit mentally scrambled lately)... has Sideshow announced if they're doing CVI yet? That would be a major win also. Get them down there with Darklord Dave and let's really rock this thing!

Sideshow needs to be there. They make some of the best SW collectibles in the industry and it's sad they weren't at CV. :lecture

Awesome story bro. Thanks for sharing. I would love to me JEJ and JW.

Pfft. I doubt they will. Their bread and butter is SDCC. They won't even do NYCC.

Unless Celebration hits LA or SD we may never see SSC at another celebration other than in the form of Gift Cards. :monkey2

Cool story Swabie! :wave

Pssst... I need a job at CVI. Any leads? ;)

Hey ! I ask first there you !

LOL. :1-1::hi5::1-1:

For shizzy ! :1-1:

BTW, I have not been more happier on this board than I have been the last few days. Mainly because of this and the Blu-Ray threads.

Helps me realize Star Wars really is where my heart is.

Thanks guys.

Star Wars just equals fun! I actually just got the Lego Star Wars 3 for my birthday this past weekend. Even though it's based on the CW series it is still just so much fun hacking Battle Droids.

Seriously, I remember walking around giddy as a schoolboy at CV at all the merchandise, fans, and of course celebrities. I remember thinking that regardless of how snobby I might feel about LOTR or any other movies being "better" films it really always just comes back to SW. Nothing tops it.

Exactly. It's just a sense of fun and connections that can't be touched. Especially since it transcends ages.

Very cool story and thank you for sharing it, swabie! :1-1:
I love hearing things like that!

I agree with Ford being a no-show, but man, would that be awesome or what?!!? I wouldn't mind any of the other people you mentioned, either. I really wish Lucas would sign.

Good to hear. I was a little worried that it may lead to an overload of SW Lego.

:lol

I've been eying the Lego watches for some time now, wanting to buy them for my son for when he's older. There's soooo many small pieces, though, I'd be holding them for 6-7 years! :slap:lol

FYI - They have all this stuff in-store at Target now if anyone's interested, including the Lego desk clocks and keychains.
