I'm starting to feel bummed I didn't do autographs at CV. To have met Mark, Carrie and Anthony in person would've been awesome. :(

We need to coordinate our autograph tickets.

Lets do it!!!!

To date I think Anthony has been my favorite to meet in person. Such a genuinely good person. I remember I took off my glasses for a pic and he lectured me to never do that, that it's a part of my character etc.

One of my favorite moments at CV was getting Mark's autograph while I was fully dressed in my Vader outfit.

Man, I'm getting excited. Who all here is coming to the 501st bash? This thing is going to be HUGE!!

I actually ended up picking up passes for the Bash. It may be a tad too big for old folks like me, but I'll go at least!

I really want to go gang...

Hopefully, if I still have a job when I get back from Seattle I'll be able to swing going. Guess I'll know about half way through my clinical when my PLOA is either approved or denied...

If it's approved, I'll look into booking a flight to Orlando at that time. ;)

Behind-the-Scenes of the Cantina at Celebration VI

We were warned that "this place can be a little rough," but Star Wars fans can't help going back to the Mos Eisley Cantina over and over again. Celebration VI offers an in-depth exploration on the infamous watering hole from the original Star Wars, which includes some never before seen behind-the-scenes photos and artifacts from the creature-filled bar.

Professional sculptor and effects artist Tom Spina, who was inspired by the astounding creatures in the film, has made it his mission to uncover and chronicle the history of this beloved scene, its characters and the artists responsible for its creation. Spina has tracked the whereabouts of original cantina props and masks, rare photos, and even notes and illustrations from the production. As a young artist, Spina learned to sculpt by re-creating the Star Wars aliens that inspired him. This year, he and his talented crew at Tom Spina Designs helped recreate the cantina for its memorable appearance in Volkswagen's 2012 Super Bowl Commercial.

Spina will join Star Wars expert Pablo Hidalgo on the Behind-the-Scenes stage to discuss his research, show his creations, and reveal new secrets about the cantina. This panel is a must-see for fans of the original movie, creature effects enthusiasts, as well as those always seeking to learn something new about Star Wars.

I will be here for sure.

I am still hopeful Hammerhead puppeteer will be there.

That would be Jon Berg! He's a great guy, and knows a TON of cool stuff. I hope he's there too!

Speaking of the cantina display, wait till you guys see what the 501st is cooking up. The Belgians are returning with bigger and better stuff (the guys who brought the Falcon setup and TIE fighter) and the local 501st are going to have 4 sets themselves that will be mindblowing. I can't wait till you guys see everything!

Can't wait!!! :panic:

Ok, so is CVI no longer a focus on ROTJ?
It seems like some of the artists and guests are gearing up towards Ep VI, but maybe not with the inclusion of this Cantina panel?!!? :dunno

gibby, I have a feeling it will likely be a mishmash of all things Star Wars, especially with a good mix of the new (as promotion) and lots of the old (to keep us old timers coming back for more).

Since it's not really an anniversary for ROTJ, like CV was for ESB two years ago, I don't think there is an overlying theme for this one...

If anything CVI was supposed to focus on TPM since it was released in 3D this year. I think that plan may have changed though.

Yeah, I thought TPM originally, then I heard ROTJ, now I really don't know what it is.

Guess Stormy is right...it will just be a Star Wars skittles explosion...in your mouth!

edit - guess I should say "our mouths". yum. :dunno:lol
