Bitter post is bitter.

Nothing bitter about Gully Foyle's post. He's just stating his opinion.

You don't like his opinion or mine. Fine.

But there's no reason to post negative comments.

Live & let live.
Collect what you love/like & pay no heed to what others think, in the end all that matters is you're happy/content. :peace

Bitter post is bitter.

Nah. My post is the truth. And the truth hurts!

If you really think a modern comic book is worth hundreds of times its cover price because someone put a pretty certificate on it, then you're gonna be disappointed.

And will likely feel a fool. :monkey2

You should forward your truth to CGC so they can be sure to right their wrongs.

i could care less about cgc to be honest. a small ding on the bottom corner of a book should not be the difference between something being worth 100 bux and 1000 bux but thats just my opinion. I think buying ungraded lets you get more books because you spend less on each than you would for high grade stuff. Im not collecting these for profit, just cause i love em. My 5 best:

Amazing Fantasy 15
Incredible Hulk 181
Incredible Hulk 1
X-men 1
Amazing Spiderman 14

Amen, brother! :yess:

Couldn't say it any better.

Your list is prime. Till the end of time... :rock

I would add:
anything by Wally Wood (1950-78)
anything by Steranko (1966-72)
anything by Neal Adams (1968-74)
anything by Jean Giraud [Moebius] (1962-??)
anything by Walt Simonson from Thor ('83-'87?)

CGC definitely has its advantages, especially for high end books. They have a very solid restoration detections service. For comic collectors, undisclosed restoration is very similar to undisclosed recasts in the statue collecting community.

That is definitely one of the many reasons CGC is very much worth it on a book by book scenario.
