how did you do the widows peak I would like to get mine done

I used sculpy to add the widows peak on the Hasbro dome.

I think I need to shorten the neck and tilt the dome back a bit more. I also need to work on the inner robe.

I think the nodded Vaders I have seen look better than the HT ANH Vader.

I did some more work on ANH Vader tonight. I lowered the neck a litte, titlted the dome back a bit and replaced the inner robe.

As mentioned, I am no Vader expert. However, given the parts I have available(Hasbro/Sideshow, Lforigno), I am pretty happy with this version.

Yeah looking good Chris.
I'd love an ANH Vader, but don't want to spend the $ on the HT after buying SSC ESB/ROTJ Vader. Perhaps I could bash on together too.

Thanks Kodiak. :)

I agree. I know mine isn't perfect, but it's good enough for me. I am passing on the HT Vader. If it looked like the ANH version I would get it, to me it looks way off.

The HT is a very nice, but very generic Vader to me. I like yours over the HT one because it's looks more like ANH Vader. I almost feel there calling it a ANH Vader just to avoid a conflict with the SS ESB/ROTJ Vader. :dunno

Quite frankly, if I hadn't bought the SS ESB/ROTJ Vader and wanted a ANH version I would buy the SS one and do the mods that Chris and others have done. I'll probably keep a look out for a good deal on one to see if I can do it anyways, if not I'm happy with my one Vader.

Great work, as your usual man. One thing....imo this body is too slim in the abdomen, you could add a turn of paper and tape to give him more massive look.

Thanks man and thanks for the feedback also. I think I may do just that, it would help the chestbox sit more naturally.

ive been using electrical tape to beef up some of mine... think my Bossk is 50% tape!
awesome work dude.

As I mentioned in another thread, my customs are never finished. I have to give some credit for this to the TDP. Looking at his Suarin customs(which are awesome by the way), I took a look at mine. I did a Garon Nas Tal from ROTJ a couple of years ago. I never was happy with his coat. I wanted it to be more leatherlike. While looking at him, I spotted a SSC CW Anakin surcoat in my parts bin. Bam!! I think its going to be perfect. The paintwork on the coat will be tricky, but I think I can do it.

As Steven mentioned, I also may take some "creative license" with the feet and hands. I also have an Exclusive Bossk sculpt I may use for this guy.

I love this place. :)

Well, I'll be...
I went back and watched parts of ESB and ROTJ just to be sure. I'd never noticed that it was green. I always thought they were grey, but they definitely do have some green to them. I still can't tell completely if it's real or if it's just due to the horrible color correction in the movies. After re-watching parts, I'm not sure ANY of the uniforms were grey.

Hasbro made the 12" and 4" figures in grey, so I just assumed they were right. Also, so many of the promotional photos and art are of grey uniforms. REALLY makes me wonder if it's something like the Han's blue/brown jacket due to the bad color.

Now I may have to get some Hasbro Tarkins or some Sideshow Pietts.
