Dude looking fantastic! Gimme that Dengar head wrap. It looks so perfect and it'll save me some time. Haha :D

Haha, thanks man. I could say the same for some of your stuff. Maybe we could work out a trade? :)

Yeah, no kidding. The overall shape, all the folds & wrinkles are dead nuts on.

New chest armor is coming along great. Whilst borrowing bits from the old hasbro, Chris, Don't forget the "T".:wink1:

Thanks dude. The "T" was damaged by mistake when I hacked up the chestplate. I will kitbash something.

...and the buttons on the left.

Looks great! Will be interesting to see what SSC comes up with for their Dengar.

Thanks. I saved the buttons, its going to be tricky to transfer them.

That's fantastic!

Thanks Steven.

Thanks to Lopie for the new, proper Stormtrooper cod piece.

Gotcha. Same thing happened to me but with the buttons. They got in the way while going for the greeblies in the lower section:wink1:

But on the realz, we definitely need to have a detailed discussion on your steps and materials for Dengar's head wrap when the time comes. Yours is hands down the best looking one I've seen. It looks so freaking awesome dude. :thud:

Well thanks man. I hope I can remember what I did, it's been a few years. :)

Great work Chris!

Is there a definitive DIY Dengar build thread? I unearthed a set of hasbro bounty hunters and was wondering if it's possible to turn a sow's ear into a silk purse?
I can't afford SS's prices anymore.

Hasbro Dengar can really be made to look pretty great. The key problems are the gloves and forearm armor, which are jumbo. The rest can be made pretty nice, even the face could be repainted to look very nice. Here's the Hasbro prototype paint up:

Thanks man.

I used some Hasbro, but mostly SSC and HT trooper armor.

Here is the rundown on parts I used on mine....

-SSC Stormtrooper shoulder bells, forearm armor.
-SSC Snowtrooper chestplate, modded with bits from Hasbro
chestplate.
-HT abdominal armor and cod piece (not shown yet).
-Hasbro thigh armor, shin armor (modded) and boots.
-SSC Luke Bespin holster, custom made belts and leg wraps.
-custom made head wraps.

Undecided on weather or not to use SSC Luke Hoth gloves.

Looks amazing.:clap

The Hoth hands are a bit oversized but they work pretty well for Dengar. If you don't want to lose them, there are quite a few "special forces gloves" on eBay that might work.

Dengar is looking great Chris.

I am constantly amazed by some of you guys and your abilities to create such life-like characters.

Looking awesome, Chris. I see Trinto looking pretty creepy there in the corner. :D

I'm still waiting for my Dengar to come in so I can rip him apart and only use the jumpsuit. haha

Thanks. I agree, will probably try to find and alternative solution.

Thanks Dennis, I appreciate it.

Thanks. Yeah Trinto will be updated soon. I got the HT Obi-Wan inner robe ready to go for him. I just need to repaint his eyes. Speaking of Trinto, you got any good closeups of his eyes on yours? They looked awesome.

The Dengar suit isn't too bad. Everything else could/should be upgraded.

I had some extra HT Han Solo parts lying about. figured I'd give this a go and see what it looks like. After seeing it, I'm not feeling it.

Yeah that Han doesn't work so well with the Bespin look, I agree.

Here's a couple of shots of Trinto that I already had and I can take a few more if you need them.

My Dengar uses the Hasbro armour (I agree the forearm armour is too big) but I changed the head and the backpack and made some shoes. The backpack is a broken digital camera repainted and with all the inside bits glued to the outside!

Thanks for the pics Tyler.

J, I remember seeing your Dengar when it was first completed. Awesome work.

That backpack is great, I may try something similar. Thanks for sharing pictures my friend.

Great work guys!

Chakaman... I'm not feeling the Bespin Han either. It's strange how the same character has a totally different feel in each movie.

Chakaman, think everyones right with the Bespin Han, would it work better as Endor Han, if you have a trench coat ?

I've got that backpack from a lot purchased awhile back. Was wondering what figure it was from.
