I finally had a little bit of free time and was able to start working on my Klaatu. I was able to work on his belt/apron, weather the shoulder area on start on his left foot gear. I still need to paint, weather that area a bit more.

Thanks guys.

Excellent leather work, Chris. Where do you get those rivets?

Thanks. Duane did the outfit, I just assembled it. I have gotten rivets very similar to these at Hobby Lobby.

I have decided to redo the foot area, not totally happy with how it turned out. It's too thick and bulky. I am also not happy with the color.

I think I'm a bit rusty. :)

a little trick i discovered when working with leather is to singe the edges with a lighter. Takes care of stray strands and gives a nice weathered/worn appearance.

I am so glad you found some elusive spare time. I was having some serious withdrawals and really missed seeing the creations. Awesome stuff.

That is a great tip about the leather. :hi5: I've used my belt sander to weather and thin the leather/ skiver bits.

Thanks Steven, Nate. :)

I decided to start putting together my 2nd Jawa kit. I passed on Sideshows offering, but hope to pick up some accessories from TA when they are parted out.

I also put the finishing touches on Skiffmaster today.

Love the Weequay! Did you paint all the little lines on the Enaud vest, and is the bunched-up shirt also something Enaud does?

Love it !!

Thanks. :)

Awesome dude! :clap

Thanks man. Looking forward to seeing your Skiffmaster finished.

Thanks. Yes, I drew the lines on the vest and then weathered it.

As Tyler mentioned, yes that is an Enaud shirt. I asked him to do one with longer sleeves so they could be "bunched" up to achieve the proper look. I also had him make me a similar shirt for Wooof.

Great looking Jawas. I passed too. Hopefully TA has enough accessories to go around. :D

Thanks. Me too. I'm sure there will be plenty to go around.

skiff master looks great Chris!

Thanks Nate. :)

Third time is a charm right? I sure hope so. :)

A friend of mine was kind enough to hook me up with some proper fur for Yak Face. I have tried a couple times to fur the neck/chest area on him with unsatisfying results. Here is attempt 3, so far so good. Going to let this sit for a couple says and then will go back in and add small amounts to cover up trouble spots.
