Typical Chakaman Quality. Cheers buddy!
Only nitpick: he is just too clean, isn't he?
m.

Cheers man!

Yes, he is a bit too clean. I have yet to weather his outfit.:wink1:

I can't seem to leave this one alone. My attempt at adding skin texture "spots".

Yeah your paint skills are great Chakaman - I really like the variation on the head and hands.

That lil brush splatter technique adds so much. Looks great!

In my opinion, those skin texture spots make or break a good paint job. Nice work dude! I wish more companies besides HT did that.

Your attempt at the spots looks ... well... spot on!

Glorious! I also like all the painted details in the hands.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it.

Yes, the "splatter effect" does work pretty good. I still need to touch up a few areas. Steven, thanks for giving me some pointers with that technique. Much appreciated my friend.

I'm updating my Kenner Nikto(Lathe). I repainted the headsculpt and repainted/weathered his pants. Next up are shoe guards. I also need to finish the belt and figure out how to do the stitching on the jacket. I will probably tweak the head guard too. I did this one a few years ago and he needed to be revisited.

Thanks. Looking forward to finishing him up.

The top of the sculpt has been giving me trouble. The spots look different colors/shapes in every reference photo I see. I have also been experimenting with different techniques.

A great technique to get those freckles/spots to look similar but not uniform is to use a ripped up sponge and gently dab the paint onto the sculpt.

Thanks for that, I appreciate it. I'll give it a go.

Since the last picture, I have adjusted the size and shapes of some of the spots. I'll post some updated pictures when I get a chance.

The characters are looking really awesome.

Speaking of other cool techniques.... My wife let me have some of her make up sponges. This modification helps me achieve a very organic look also.
