That Giran and pilot look awesome! I love the armor and the updated flight suit!

To reduce a cast, you have to add a certain solvent(s) to the mold when pouring the mold, and then after demolding, allow it time to cure and shrink. There's specific solvents that allow you to grow or shrink a mold for casting.

Again... thanks for showing off something many of us can?t have! :gah:

Always a pleasure seeing your new builds pop up, Chris!

Ah, sorry Paul. I am fortunate to recieve these kits from Duane.

Hey! Awesome! I'm finishing touchups on my Giran too! Nice one Chris!

Thanks!

Oh man.... I could spend hours in there...

Thanks WG.

I also appreciate the tutorial on mold shrinking. I knew Duane had to do multiple castings to gradually shrink it.

I started working on Garin.

Yeah he's looking great !!

That leather looks a bit like the stuff I just ordered here in Europe. Haven't got it yet, but hope it looks like that (with a bit of weathering paint added I see).

Wow that?s looking so good!! Where?d you get the long sleeve shirt or did you make that?

Thanks. Yes, very thin leather I painted and weathered up.

Thanks. Duane made the shirt, skirt for me. I am not sure where its from. He sent me extra, when I get some time I will take a picture of it for you.

Very cool!

That is so cool. Nice work.

Thanks guys.

Honestly I have trouble imagining real leather being thinner than 1mm...?

Yeah 1mm should be fine, it's just I have in my mind someone posted a while back that they used thin leather from a wallet. I'd say that would be less than 1mm.

In any case it was only a question to ensure leather used on my 1/6 customs doesn't look too bulky.

Here is a picture of the fabric used to make Giran's, Wooof's shirt..

Hope this helps.

My son absolutely loves the Mandalorian. He gave us his wish list to Santa last week. On it was "Mando" and "Guys Mando fought to get baby Yoda".

So what do you do when Hasbro hasn't released anything yet? You put your Santa hat on and make it happen. I have started kitbashing some figures I picked up and have begun repainting them. I should be done by Christmas. "THIS IS THE WAY". :D
