Re: [Cheungkinmen's Workbench] ~ (From sculpting to painting) ~UPDATED POST #357 ~

Wow! Half expected those four heads to start talking! :clap :clap

Great work! I was surprised to see Chin from the new Hawaii-Five O series! My gf and I love this show, are there any more of the 5-O team?

Hey man, thanks for the kind words :)

The sculpt is made by Arsyn, these were intended to be used as Jin from the series LOST. :p . I don't really watch the 5-0 series so, I'm not familiar with the cast, other than this guy of course , hehe.

:peace

New set of painted commission sculpts:

Excellent, I've been hoping to come across a paint of Arsyn's sculpt. Looks really good...as do all the others! Really tempted to get McFly.

Are there people out there who just like buying up heads? Who don't have the funds to build a ton of full figures but still appreciate the work that goes into portraits? I wouldn't be the only crazy one would I? A lot more affordable hobby, plus whenever I get rich in the future, I could still build the outfits and all that later on.

I have a couple bodiless heads on display. :)

Thanks for the compliements!

I have some body-less sculpts on display. I love buying other sculptors work and appreciate their work closely and learn from it. I have my Marty McFly here with me ready to be painted up and for display, sculpt only, haha, I can't afford the clothing set right now, so it'll be waiting for a cheaper alternative :p .

Just wanted to add that I just went through the entire thread and it's been awesome watching you improve as a painter and sculptor. You started off with a lot of talent but to see how much better you've gotten in just a year or so...it's really cool! Can't wait to see the level of quality you'll be churning out in another year.

More painted sculpts:

Deckard's eyes are not black, don't know why the picture came out like that, they are a darker hazel. AND, the sculpts are not that reddish in person, can't figure out how to properly use the camera :/

Your TLJ and Marty are really awesome. I am currently looking at your Al Ghul and Dr. Crane sculpts I have here and your paint skills have improved immense! Those heads have been already fantastic but no comparisson to your recent paintups. I have some unpainted heads already in hand and comming. Would love to ask you for some commissions by next year. Keep up the great work buddy. :duff
